Best player is there qb, they blew out my trojans last night, but thats not saying much. Our coach decided to bring up 2 freshmen from jv and let them start at rb and cornerback, instead of letting upperclassmen go both ways like they did vs elkin and won. Coach sessoms has got to go, we have a good amount graduating, and he left after north stokes had a big senior class, so i bet he wont be back next yr.
Do you not think maybe there was a reason he did that? Alleghany better hold onto Sessoms. They will struggle to be anything more than what they have been with him.
Anything more than what we have been? we havent done anything except for 2014 yr. Dont know what the reason was, but i do know im tired of his 10 play playbook with 2 total pass plays. We got a decent qb but its not hard to figure out on defense when they only run 2 different pass plays. We had one good season with him 2 yrs ago, thats it, everyone makes the playoffs in small 1a, 1st round exits every single year except 2 yrs ago, so we cant do any worse. And heck with jake hampton at rb 2 years ago any coach would take us to 4th round of playoffs giving him the rock. He just doesnt seem to care anymore, example we had all 3 timeouts last night with 2min before halftime hayesville backed up on their own 5 yrd line. Does he call timeouts to possibly get ball back in good field position. Nope he is satisfied being down 14pts at half. And 2 the whole nation knows alleghany is known as one of the slowest teams in the state, we have never been blessed with speed, we have the ball 1st and goal on the 4. He calls 2 sweeps to our slow freshman rb, obviously caught for no gains, and a pass play and we dont score. Run it up the gut coach, we had a senior rb give him the ball 4 times up the gut and if we dont get in oh well, stop the stretch plays and sweeps on the goal line, shortest distance to endzone is straight line not around the ends. He did the same sh*t on. 2Pt play at wilkes central, he had to know there speed would run us down on a sweep. Not to mention the numerous times he went for it this year on our side of the 50, one time on the 25 yrd line giving up field positon to other teams. Im just tired of having ok seasons and never getting anywhere. Last night he never went for it, even down 4touchdowns, what u got to lose? he ran off our best player from the team by being a hard *** earlier in the year. Just sick of it. Same crap every yr. We had a bye week coach, add 1 extra pass play to the book, nope same boring stuff.
