Loved how the movie conveyed that even his own family was in disbelief that Joe P had no knowledge.

I watched it last night. It makes Paterno look really bad. Anyone else see it?

I saw it too and was unmoved. Prior to the Sandusky story, I could never have imagined having a negative view of Paterno, but after Sandusky's indictment I think PSU had no choice but to fire Paterno immediately. The school was right to do so.

Given the magnitude of the charges against Sandusky, monstrous crimes, Paterno's inaction is a complicity which will always overshadow his coaching accomplishments.

I liked it. Well acted by Pacino, I was interested the entire way. WITH that being said, it was titled wrong, when I heard about this movie, I thought it would be more then the last week of his career. What I took away from it is that he was a man who was completely consumed with the game and oblivious to everything else that was happening around. Even when his attorneys and family were trying to explain to him what was happening, all he could think about was the Nebraska game.

I thought overall they went very easy on Paterno.
Right up to the last line....."1976!"
