Question remains how anyone will ever know that he's Rhaegar's son? Bran is the only one that knows and he's going to come off as a quack/witch for his duration on the show.

Don't drop no Howland Reed on me Been, that guy's never showing up.

My guess is that he will be able to use a dragon. Ultimately though I don't think his legitimacy is going to be super important.

Agreed. In the end, if there is 1 ruler of Westeros, it will be whoever is the most powerful (has the dragons and armies), not who has the best claim. It is also possible that Westeros is divided into multiple pieces and ruled by multiple people.

I was OK with it.
I think it was in line with GRRM's writing and with HBO's version. Every time it seems like Cercie is on the ropes, and about to be eliminated from the game, she finds a way to turn the tables and put herself back in an advantageous position.

It does seem unlikely that she would be able to guess Dani's/Tyrion's plans to the letter. I wonder if she has a spy in their camp?

@EvilPOKES Not just you. See the above.

It would have to be Varys right? Melisandre wasn't in on the planning. Who else was there?

I would guess a Dothraki. They owe Dany nothing and I'm sure some resent her.

But, how would a Dothraki make contact with someone in Cersei's camp? Seems unlikely. Especially in the books where they are clearly not motivated by money and would be unlikely to trade information for gold (not sure that has been established in the show).

I'm betting that there is no spy, and we will just have to assume that Cersei/Jaime are good guessers. Much like we have to suspend disbelief on certain characters basically teleporting from one location to another many miles away (sometimes teleporting armies/an entire navy along with them).

I agree there is likely no spy, just that if there were they are the most likely to turn on her. The only other option is what's her face from Narth. I don't see the motivation there. She would have the best opportunity to have knowledge of the plans and get a message out though. Something about her rubs me wrong... though I'd let her rub me wrong all she wants.

I watched the online leaked episode for tonight. All I'll say is don't miss out tonight. The best single episode of the entire series.

Given the shallow writing of late w/o source material and a compressed and expedited schedule that's saying something.

I'm ready.

It was awesome.

I wonder if Bran was letting Trump Finger know that he knows what he's doing when he said that to him.

I'm interested to see what happens with Arya and Sansa. They made sure to create some tension in this episode.

The battle scene was epic but based on what the dragons did why even risk your army? Just light everyone up!

There has to be a sudden plot twist coming next week.

I'm still in shock (awe) from the end of last week's episode. I loved the crap out of that!

Overall excellent episode. I agree great CGI on the dragon battle. I think we just reestablished who the badest ***** is. Sorry Cersei. You're little toy ain't no match for a dragon.

Did think the whole saving Jamie at the end was a little over the top. Seems to violate the whole anyone can die at any time Game of Thrones creed. Kept waiting for some type of Tyrion Jamie moment.

Only thing I would say about Howard Reed is isn't that his daughter that's been with Bran and is now going home to her family? Only purpose I can think of for that would be to bring him into the story.

They sure found that Dragon glass in a hurry.

Sansa is clearly not sure what to make of Arya and Bran.

"Sansa is clearly not sure what to make of Arya and Bran."

Well, Arya was just a little kid (tom-boy), last time Sansa saw her. Now here she is, just a teen and can hold her own and then some against one of the top fighters in all of Westeros? That would throw me for a loop as well. I don't even think that Sansa knows that Arya killed so many Frey's in, one fell swoop, but yet Arya's prowess seems to scare her a bit.

Bran, basically says he's no longer a Stark and talks in circles and riddles leaving people scratching their heads trying to make sense of him and understand what exactly he's saying. You could see Sansa taken aback when he mentioned Arya's "list of people" and other things that could not have been known to him through "normal" means. I think she's just starting to catch on that has some pretty amazing, magical powers.

Sansa doesn't seem particularly stable or trustworthy at this point. Too insecure. Seems envious of Jon's support and Arya's fighting skill. Seems lost at a time where she needs to be putting it together.

After Drogon (I think that was who she was riding) took one in the shoulder, Dany is going to be very reluctant to risk her dragons against the Lannisters in the future. They had a Scorpion travelling with their army. Dany has to be worried that they have them mounted all over King's Landing. This was excellent writing by HBO (or maybe they got the idea from GRRM), as it allows them to show how powerful the Dragons are, but prevents Dany from making quick work of Cersei.

Dany won't be as afraid to take on the WW and Wites with her dragons. I would not be surprised if she opts to put King's landing somewhat on the back burner and turn her attention to fighting at the wall next.

I liked it. As I was watching, I was thinking, "Oh ****, they are actually going to kill Jaime". Of course, there is some possibility that he drowns. Probably not a great idea to go swimming with a full suit of armor and a metal hand. I still believe that he is going to be the one to actually kill Cersei, so he has to live a while longer.

Only thing I would say about Howard Reed is isn't that his daughter that's been with Bran and is now going home to her family? Only purpose I can think of for that would be to bring him into the story.

Good point. I didn't think about that. It is possible that they just used it as an opportunity to have one less character to deal with, and she won't appear again. It also was a good opportunity to give us more of an idea of what Bran has become, and how he really isn't Bran anymore.

But, they still haven't shown us the 2nd half of Bran's Tower of Joy vision, and there is a theory out there that Meera and Jon are Lyana's/Raegar's twins, so that could turn out to be accurate. I'd love to see Howland Reed written into the story.

They sure found that Dragon glass in a hurry.

My guess is that Sam found a map or detailed instructions as to where to find it.

I also was confused by the Dragon strategy. It would seem like she should have made a second or third pass up front to completely destroy the defenses. I know the more she exposes the Dragon the more danger it is in but the best time to attack was while you have the element of surprise before they can organize any defense against the dragon. Seemed to be more of a cinematic choice by the show runners that it made for better TV if you let the horde kill a few.

I don't see that at all. She seems to have her S together fully. I agree that she has been caught by surprise with how changed Arya and Bran are. But, I find her to be a strong leader who is calm and measured while making decisions/suggestions.
