I watched it a few hours ago and was impressed. Really solid premier and could lead to a great show. Once again, HBO has a winner on its hands.

I'm going to hold off judgment until we get a few episodes in.

The Night of had a solid opening, and quickly fell off a cliff.

I'm a big Jonah Nolan fan so I've been looking forward to this for a while. The premiere was intriguing and I look forward to seeing where they go with it. The cast is great.

Really good IMO. Lots of 'black' in that episode. Wonder what color will be next or if black will be a main theme?

Thought first episode was great. Very well done. Was also looking forward to it.

West World Was one of the movies I watched as a kid and would randomly think of over the years. Not realizing until much later that it was so popular at the time. Yule Brenner was just a dude that looked like a robot. Or at least that's how I remember him looking.

But Ed Harris and Hopkins/Wright were all excellent as you would expect. Rest of cast very talented and I am all in so far. We will see if it keeps this pace.

Really good premier. Some of the best actors of a generation, all in one show; so you know it'll deliver.

One thing I thought needs changed asap, is the weird way the creators watch what's unfolding in their world

I think the shows main character is going to b the man in black, Ed Harris. Loved the old piano version of black hole sun.

The only thing I didn't like about it was that I couldn't place the song immediately, and then I missed the next 10 minutes of the show while I racked my brain trying to figure it out. Was a pretty cool version though.

Loved the pilot. My wife was completely lost (trying to train a new dog while watching), so I had to pause several times, but still enjoyable. I just hope they have a solid plan in place and it isn't like most shows where they just kind of make it up as they go along (Lost), or stretch out a 3 season arc into 7 for profit (most shows on TV).

Yeah, I watched it a couple hours ago. This is one of those shows that I was so amped up for that it is impossible to meet expectations.

HBO is just kicking *** with their in-house stuff.

This weeks piano song was 'nice dream' by radiohead

Jury's still out for me but it has a lot of potential

Lots of cool fan theories about this show so far. My favorite (and I think the most likely) is that
William is the man in black as a younger person, and the TV audience is seeing events from multiple periods of time
.

There is a great thread on The-Mainboard.com on their TV board ... it has tons of breakdowns and theories on there as well. Good place to read after you have watched an episode because people point out all kinds of things you may have missed while watching.

I like that theory but this scene keeps me from buying in completely:

WW is phenomenal to far. I am trying to take it for what it is and not read too much in to the theories that are out there.

Having some trouble figuring out how the Man in Black keeps appearing as different characters. When the black prostitute (name escapes me at the moment) was about to get killed by the Indians in ep. 2 and she runs to her house with her daughter, she looks out the window and the Indian is there. When the door to the house opens, the man in black walks in, she proceeds to shoot but nothing happens(can't kill the guests). And then in ep. 3 when that guy drags Dolores in to the shed to rape her, the guy turns in to the man in black, then back in to the regular dude which she proceeds to blast away with the pistol.

Halfway through Season 1 and I haven't seen much talk about it. I'm still confused as to the ultimate game at play here but I do believe we are dealing with two different timelines. Unless there are two or more versions of each host. Still not buying that William is MiB yet.

What are your thoughts so far?
