vegas has it at 78.5. Does GW have the athletes to contain HC's spread? Can HC take a punch?

I can't wait to start watching some HC film. Can someone help me to identify who the studs are for HC? I know the Allen boy, ahem, Allen man fairly well, but who else should I be looking for?

This offense may be the only one in the state that can play with Homer Flosswood. What has changed so much between this year and last?

From the Trib : HC offense has generated plenty of attention averaging 45.2 points, the defense has also been impressive, allowing just 9.8 points a game

So how many points is HC giving West?

Cap, Don't bite on this. Stick to your original. You can check out HC v. York on the Cube.

Until HC shows otherwise, GW is the king. And I will take the over for the fun of it.

So...you think the game will have more scoring than the 72 points in the HC playoff game last year vs Simeon?

Also, GW has not given up 30+ points (in a game that did not have JV playing in the 4Q) since the 2010 season. And even then, the 31 by LT had a garbage TD after the game was decided and 40 by the ROT lead WWS squad in the 7A quarters.

2009 - WWS had 31 in a double OT loss in the state final
2008 - ESL had 27 in the 7A semis.

If you think there will be more than 78.5 points, then it will probably be because GW scored off of a bunch of HC turnovers. GW does not get in shootouts. They will slow the game down, methodically run the ball, milk the clock, and keep the HC offense off the field.

For comparison, the final of GW v. HS was 50-31. However, it was 17-14 at the end of the third quarter before some turnovers got the better of us. GW had a 95-yard drive and a couple others on a short field for TDs.

Saturday forecast: Winds ENE at 15 to 25 mph off of Lake Ellyn. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Could it affect the passing game?

A kid to watch for HC is #1 Kareem Muhammad at WR, he has some major jets and has been getting behind defenses all year.

The real question is...who's fans will make more excuses as to why they lost and not give the other team any credit:

GBW or HC?

Kind of a cheap shot but I just wanted to get you guys riled up before the game...

I know this comes form the winning side, but HC is the real deal this year. For years, they have tapped out against GW. These guys were by far the best HC team we have played.

They have a great o-line. Not a good o-line, a great o-line. I love my boys on GW's o-line, but the front five for HC are huge and they are maulers.

At some point it comes down to play-makers and GW had more than HC.

Or the 2002 8A semi-final loser.

Here is your shootout - 79 points.
Lockport 41 - Hindale Central 38

Short timer here without knowledge of any HC team before 2010. I'm sure HC has had better and should have added the qualifier.
