Heck of a game.
Sire, not a lot of defense to be found for most of the game but both offenses put on a display.
Gotta give props to West Aurora on several levels. First of all what a n atmosphere at West Aurora from the facility to the fan turnout to the band etc...huge big time atmosphere at West Aurora...I knew they drew for Hoops but was really, really impressed with football at WA.
The Blackhawks just couldn't convert a few key series or make some key stops. The Cross twins are the real deal no question. Both DaQuan and DaVion Cross will be playing on Saturdays next year hopefully they can get grade issues straight but both have high level speed and skills.
Maine South? This is a pretty strong Hawks offense and this is the first time in awhile the Hawks are running the football as effectively if not more effective than the pass. Have been a fan of Fotis Kokosioulis for awhile now and also impressed with QB Nick Leongas. Leongas is pretty much what the Hawks need to effectively run it's offense...a threat both with the run and the pass and the Hawks are just very tough to defend. Defense? Again made a few key stops when needed...then again who is really playing great defense this season outside of a few schools anyways?
