I read an article the other day that talked about how Obama's love affair with the Tar Heels was probably somewhat politically motivated....being that North Carolina is a swing state and all. If he had shown the same affinity for Duke back in 2008, you can imagine how many Heels fans would have voted against him.

He’s a Carolina fan he loves his fellow Democrat Roy. K had a few critiques about Obama while he was president too. He also has fundraised for republican senators in the past. I did think his reaction was awesome though and while I don’t agree with his politically at all I think he’s prob be pretty fun to sit down to dinner with

Did not like Obama as President but I certainly respect him and the office. However, at the game, he was as gracious as could be. I sat near him and he spent literally the entire game getting mobbed by people and shaking hands. During timeouts he would engage with the camera guys sitting nearby. One Cameron crazie had a sign directed to him. He signed it for her, and let her come down to his section and take a picture with him. On his way out he would shake with every single person who stuck out a hand. I would go nuts if this is what I had to deal with every time I went somewhere. So it was very impressive watching the way he conducted himself. Very personable and seems like a genuinely decent individual.

I think I saw the girl (with her sign) and her picture on a Duke Instagram. The sign paid homage to the former First Lady, as well.
Having to live life that, or really any former President for that matter, just can't be all that fun after a while. Plus, for the most part, you always have to try and be 'on' the whole time.
