Brohm is a terrific coach that gets his teams to play above their physical ability. Once he gets enough talent his teams will be a problem. That is why I am not convinced he will leave Purdue. It is actually in a good spot in a the Big Ten. The path isn't real tough year in and year out.

Why did Frost leave UCF for Nebraska? I mean he had just won a national tile there and Nebraska was a dumpster fire. Why did Mack leave Xavier for UofL? They had great fan support - were a top 15 program. Why did he come here to this mess?
That is a unknown no one other than Brohm(s) know if they want to come back or view Louisville as a better opportunity. It really is a no lose situation for the Brohm(s) which is s great place to be. Purdue and Louisville are very similar programs. I think the question is do the Brohm(s) believe their best shot at competing for conference and national titles is at Purdue or Louisville?
If both your predictions come true then the B1G west won’t be so easy. Don’t forget Wisconsin and Iowa.
If Brohm ain’t afraid of Meyer and osu - he sure as **** ain’t afraid of Swinney and Clemson. The question is - does he want to swing for the fences at purdoo or, here in his hometown?
My guess is that he’s interested in making good on his former coach’s statement - something about “the only variable is time”.

I watched the Purdue game last night and I was really impressed with Brohm and Rondall Moore. The thing I kept thinking when I watched Brohm on the sideline was that he reminded me of an NFL coach. If they come calling then Purdue and Louisville are out of the picture.
I'll answer. Because they went to the job that they wanted to be at.
and to add to that statement, some people want to go home again. some don't. but a lot of people want to go back home and be a hero in their hometown where their family lives. others don't ever want to come home as that's where their family is. everyone has their reasons for a change
Louisville basketball and Nebraska football are destination jobs. The only way a coach is leaving is if they get fired. Purdue football and Louisville football not so much!
I think it is deeper than that. Would Griff been happy to win a NC somewhere else? Surely! But Griff made a promise he would bring a championship to the City and University and he did. Not sure but I can imagine that the Brohms, Jeff, Greg and Brian also had those dreams as players. That didn’t happen but they can do it as coaches. Not sure that Purdue ever enter those dreams...

Big difference is both those coaches moved into Power 5 Conferences from a mid-major. Brohm would be making a lateral move.
Lol - there are zero destination jobs in college football - Alabama comes the closest - unless the individual wants to make it one. Had Saban gone to Alabama from MSU instead of LSU - he’d have gone to the dolphins just the same.
Pretty sure that BE basketball is better than at least two, if not three of the P5 conferences. Three of the last five title winners were from “mid-major” conferences. Mack wanted to be here - said it was his dream job - plain and simple.
Same thing for Frost who said that if it hadn’t have been Nebraska, he’d have stayed at UCF.
I believe Jeff Brohm is in a similar situation.
CUSA was created with basketball in mind. That’s what Howard didn’t like. That’s why he left.

tOSUs pockets are deep. Purdue is not in that league. We can compete financially with PU. But do we really want to?
