I picked up a pair of Sennheiser HD 579 Open Back headphones a few years ago:

I'm not a huge audiophile, but I love the balance of these. Not too bass heavy with very good clarity. Definitely recommend for someone who wants to step it up from a decent pair and get something that really brings out a full sound.

I had them and didn’t like them. The noise cancellation is worthless. It doesn’t isolate outside sounds very well, which furthers makes the noise cancellation worthless. Fits poorly. And the dumbasses designed it so that you have to turn then headphones on just to use it in wired mode.

Get this instead. $49.99 but right now you can clip a $20 coupon. Love these headphones. Very good noise isolation. Solid noise cancellation, nothing impressive but you aren’t going to get impressive noise isolation unless you pay a ton. Can actually use them wired without having to turn on the headphones.

I bought some generic bluetooth earbuds on amazon for $15. They sound better than the Beats I won at a Christmas party a few years ago.
