Decided not to enroll at Iowa state and will be joining the team in January. Was told this tonight(by a former UK assistant HC from California that will not be named ;). Just told my friend and he told me to make an account and post this here. TWIW

Highly thought of out of HS. Underperformed in Juco. Another Pringle. 5.6 rated is not good.

I'm not going to do cartwheels over Hansen coming to UK, but I think I would prefer him to Gunner Kiel.

I'm about to start an ignored list. 77% completion percentage and 12 touchdowns to two interceptions is now considered underperfoming?
Good point, and, also, since when is a 5.6 "not good"? Without actually calculating it, I guarantee that a 5.6 is a higher star rating than the UK historical average when it comes to football.

He was a 5.9 4 star coming out of high school. Also rated as the #6 pro style QB and an Under Armor All American. Signed with Oklahoma in 2014 so that's probably where the connection is. Does anyone know why he left Oklahoma and went Juco? Did he flunk out, asked to leave, injury??

So after looking at his game logs his completion % is screwed up. They had mixed up some of his completions with attempts. I came up with 131 completions to 243 attempts for a 54% completion rate. 12 touchdowns to 2 intereceptions is correct.

Don't talk about it Malone, be about it. Everyone has an opinion on here. The guy doesn't impress me. Ranked in the back half of the top 100 of Juco. Go ahead and push that ignore button if varying opinions bother you.

Wouldn't that translate to being one of the 100 best Juco's in the country, regardless of position?

I was told some more information this morning. Demarre Kitt is a real possibility depending on who the new OC is. He was mum on some new staff members. Also expect to get at least a visit from some nice juco linebacker from OK to take a look at us, didn't get a name. Expect 2-3 recruits to be told to look elsewhere and replaced. That's all I got. Will post more info if I get it.

This may be the Juco LB from OK:

It would. My opinion is that the juco ranks are high risk type of players that have failed to pan out for various reasons. Some of which are grade related or simply not good

If UK does in fact land Gran, I'd rather have someone familiar with the offense like Kiel. He's proven to be successful at this level and has amassed a ton of passing yards.

Being a Rivals250 and ESPN300 recruit out of HS suggests he has some talent, lol.

Source? You are not gaining credibility, IMO.

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't be happy with this pick up if true. We are in desperate need of qb depth. He was a 4* under armor all American in high school and is the 4th best juco qb this year and 5.6 3* with great size at 6"4 220lbs. At this late in the recruiting year this would be a great pick up to push Barker and add some much needed depth.

You are worried about a 3rd string transfer who had offers from TN Chattanooga and is contemplating going to Austin Peay. Give it up. We need someone who can run the damn scout team offense and maybe be a good or better player than the guy transferring. QB's are made to transfer as Steve Spurrier said. Not great depth at position but we were not winning with Towles who some on here in retrospect have made to be the best QB in SEC. We were not going to win with Phillips, I am not saying Barker is any good and can win but we weren't winning many games with PT.

Most of these guys are recruiting HS kids and promising them no other guys, this is why offer list is what it is. Usually in these instances there is a coach or someone that the QB bonds with (Iowa St.) doesn't mean he is not a player, big power 5 conference teams are not going to disrupt their HS guys etc..

Wow what a crew.

I also would love the idea of bringing in Kitt if we get Gran. He seems to be leaning towards UC currently. He's a 5.6 3* with good size. He was a 4* all American out of high school when be signed with Clemson. Stoops and company have shown a good eye for juco talent with Big Z, CJ Johnson Melvin Lewis, Javess Blue and Nate Willis. All of these guys were solid contributors and some were fantastic.

Why would he post his source? And then not have that source give him anymore info? no

Why would people believe a poster with two posts who has info on not just one player, but has scoop on others we have not heard about?

Credibility will be gained when Loney or Rowland or the actual recruits announce something.
