Things our team always seem to have. It's what has always driven me to support Duke. Coach K has his ways and we may not all agree with some of his methods but you have to believe in the end result. He is a champion. There is always that look in our kids eyes you just can't seem to spot in other teams. That extra drive. That belief. That effort. How it doesn't attract more fans, I'll never know. We defeated Chapel Hill last night for the simple reason we embrace the things in this title. We have that edge. Carolina doesn't have that. K gets more. All the while, our kids just seem to share the spotlight, praise and benefits. They represent the University with class. There's no player standing in front of our bench dancing like a fool. There's no consistent ignorance from our players on social media. Mike Krzyzewski has a handle on what is going on with his team. He's old school, demands respect and it's his way or the highway. He knows not only how to get the most out of a young man, but what to instill in him to become a better man. He lets them know it's okay to show emotion. To lift your teammate up when he's down. I've seen it all. I've been this fan for over 30 years now. Every season I find myself at some point in the season reflecting in silent wonder , just how special this thing is. Enjoy it. Drink it up. It's special fellas. Go Duke.

Show I've wanted to write something like this for ever, and especially since the buzzer sounded last night. I just never take the time to do it. And I feel guilty about not expressing my appreciation for a Coach K and Duke more often on these types of outlets. I couldn't have wrote it better my man!!! This Thing is a way of life for me 100%..... DUKE RULES THIS HOUSEHOLD

I was at the final four and champ game last year, in the WI section, with 99% of my contacts die hard badger fans. It was truly unreal to win in that fashion as a loyal, outspoken DIEHARD Duke fan. I think my emotions were equally high last night..... Not because we beat a soft cheater squad at all. Not even close! But because of the HEART, FIGHT, DESIRE AND PASSION displayed. It was FING UNREAL. Last night was 100% everything Duke stands for.

God damn it feels good to be a Dukie

Some might agree and some might disagree but I see 2 similarities between this year's team and last year's team. 1) both teams had short rotations (last year was an 8 man rotation and this year has had a rotation of anywhere from 5 to 7 players throughout different points of the season) and 2) both teams really enjoyed playing with each other. I know it's going to be extremely difficult to do, especially with us not knowing if/when Amile will return and how long Matt's injury will keep him out but I believe that with the way we've been playing lately and if/when we get Amile and Matt back completely healthy then I think this team is still very capable of bringing home a title.

This is great. A sample....

Five Guys

The most shocking thing about Duke’s 74-73 win over UNC on Wednesday is that it really wasn’t all that surprising.

It’s a shame, but we’ve all become so accustomed to the storyline that there’s really not much amazement left. Duke is simply tougher than you are. If there’s a loose ball, they’re going to get it, and if it’s a close game, they’re going to win it. They know it. Their opponents know it. Everyone in the arena knows it....

Another nice read. Good vid too...

Duke jumps to No. 13 in the Top 25 (and one) after beating Tar Heels

This Duke team that couldn't beat anybody a month ago has now beaten nationally ranked Louisville, nationally ranked Virginia and nationally ranked UNC in consecutive games, and the victory over UNC came at the Dean Smith Center. So the Blue Devils have gone from 15-6 overall, and 4-4 in the ACC to 20-6 overall, and 9-4 in the ACC, and they're now just one game in the loss column out of first in the league standings. More important, Duke suddenly has four top-50 RPI wins and just one loss outside of the top 50.

Meantime, the Tar Heels are now 1-4 vs. the top five teams they've played, according to the RPI. And UNC still only has three top-50 RPI wins, meaning it's reasonable to argue Mike Krzyzewski's team has a superior body of work to Roy Williams' team, and I'm not sure anybody could've seen this coming a month ago or at all. Duke is now 13th in the CBS Sports Top 25 (and one). North Carolina has fallen to 16th.
