Round 5 of Joshua v. Klitschko was amazing.

Both heavyweights are 6-7, both have scored knockdowns.

Round 7 went for the aging Russian to effectively ties them up on my scorecard - I gave 10-8 for the 6th.

Going into 10, let us say they are tied - both have had their big shots. The young lion, undefeated still, getting all that he can take for now.

And then the start of the 11th - BLAM! Joshua lands hard! Then the hint was on for the younger man.

To my disbelief and to his credit, Klitschko got up after two knockdowns and ended the fight - and maybe his career - on his feet.

Love heavyweight fights!

I thought you were referring to the 2 best hs heavyweights in the country wrestling.
Gable Stevenson beat Anthony Cassioppi 10-0.

Cassioppi was 5 ranked this year, although I think he is the 3rd ranked of the juniors.
Cassioppi is really good, committed to NU next year.
Stevenson, who is named Gable Dan Stevenson is going to Minn where his brother attends now. A little surprised he's going there with the turmoil over the past year.

Cassioppi is the best heavyweight wrestler that I have seen in Illinois in 32 years. He beat a very good group this year with ease.

I like Cassioppi a lot and I'm very happy he's going to NU.
While I agree he had a great season,
I can think of a few heavyweights who would give him a rough time just since 2000.
The Allen brothers out of Hinsdale, Garrett Goebel from Montini, Matt Roth from Willowbrook come to mind.
All of whom were pretty good football players too.

I agree that all of the guys you mentioned were very good.
What separates Cassioppi is he wrestles like a 125lb.
I think he gasses Roth and the younger Allen.
Jack Allen and Goebel would be interesting.
Remember, he's only a Junior.
I wonder if he ends up at Iowa.
