Don't underestimate Gonzaga. I haven't given them enough credit until recently. They're legit. It will be a dogfight. There's not a position of floor where they don't match up well with Tar Holes. Foul trouble with their bigs is a concern but that goes both ways

Zags will be in foul trouble tonight. Holes will not. Cheats will win.
Im with you on this. Seems that every team has foul issues when playing UNCheat. Unreal how the fouls piled up on Oregon and they have not had that issue all year long but I will be pulling my azz off for the Zags tonight. If they can pull it off that would make it so sweet to see the holes lose this game 2 years in a row.

Yea as I said in another thread it'll be like a three peat if the holes lose tonight. We won in 15, they lost last year in the ship and hopefully tonight too.

Well, if Berry plays like he has I find it hard to believe the heels win, Jackson was great Saturday as well as Meeks and Oregon played very poor and had a chance.....I think Gonzaga gets it done.

Also, I bought Gonzaga in a auction at the beginning so I really hope they win now!

lets predict the ship... I'm saying the Zags have little to no chance my official prediction is.....
Tar Heels- 95
Zags- 73
So your prediction would give UNCheat their 6th championship. If that happens, should we start our predictions on how many they'll have vacated? Maybe someone can start the poll tomorrow morning.

I can't tell if this is one of those traditional "no one has a chance against the Heels" threads or if you're serious lol

Like I said in another thread....sometimes destiny is a real thing. After watching Arkansas completely collapse, the officiating in the first half against UK, and a little of both of the aforementioned on Saturday night, I just don't see a way UNC loses. What I worry about is that, IMO, they haven't played particularly well the whole tournament with exception of the Butler game....they're almost due, in a sense.

I'll say UNC by a final score of 78-70.

I'm afraid Gonzaga is TOO SIMILAR to UNC in regards to size and style. UNC is much more talented and I think that will be the difference. :(

See, I just don't think this Heels team is as talented as people think, or maybe I mean uber-talented. And I don't mean that to be a slight to them. It's kind of like our team in 2010. They have some great college players but the talent gap isn't overwhelming.....and that's been proven in them playing three really close game to this point.

What the Heels have on their side is they're veteran bunch who has reached this point before. The sting of last April's loss is still fresh in their minds and they're reminded of it daily. It draws better focus, IMO.

I would argue UNC had more overall talent, and even a better team, last season, in 2011 and 2012, too. Those teams just didn't finish. Sometimes teams are categorically great because they do something great. But I don't pretend to think Duke 2010 was a better team than Duke 1999, Duke 2004 and even to an extent, Duke 2006. That 2010 team just did something special that those others couldn't finish upon.

Real quick....to someone's point above, the metrics do, in fact, favor Gonzaga tonight if you're in to that sort of thing. Historically speaking, this Gonzaga team is really, really good.

KenPom gives the Zags a 63% chance of winning. He predicts the final score to be 79-75.

FWIW, had Duke advanced to the Final Four to play Gonzaga, we would have only had a 28% chance of beating them. The final score prediction would have been 78-72.

Again, these are only metrics and we know the game actually gets played on a basketball court, but KenPom has been pretty efficient in the past. Let's hope it's right tonight. :)

I don't really ever pay attention to this stuff but historically how accurate is this stuff?

An escalator is more Meeks' style. ;)

The last report is they are making a saddle to fit around Karnowski's shoulders and neck with stirrups for easy mounting so right from the tip off meeks can climb right up into the saddle at tip off saddle and ride him all night and occasionally during time outs hicks and bradley can get a ride also. Any of you who think unc doesn't win this one.....delirious. Have you seen the calls these guys are getting in this tournament? It's done.

Show I tend to think this same way- I mean we can point to obvious calls/no calls in three games....
