Honestly, I don't know. He's right far more than he is wrong, though. KenPom actually predicted all three of our games against UNC right this season.

If UNC wins it all there will be a bright, intense spotlight put on its program. I doubt the NCAA wants that....Gonzaga wins....I'm just sayin'.

What the Heels have on their side is they're veteran bunch who has reached this point before. The sting of last April's loss is still fresh in their minds and they're reminded of it daily. It draws better focus, IMO.

I would argue UNC had more overall talent, and even a better team, last season, in 2011 and 2012, too. Those teams just didn't finish. Sometimes teams are categorically great because they do something great. But I don't pretend to think Duke 2010 was a better team than Duke 1999, Duke 2004 and even to an extent, Duke 2006. That 2010 team just did something special that those others couldn't finish upon.

I dunno , ya'll. True , they're not a powerhouse but they're very good and they've escaped some games where it looked like they were on the ropes. Being good is part of it but so is havin' things break just right for ya...4 missed ft's and 2 offensive boards in less than 5 seconds? They really didn't play all that well ( other than Meeks ) vs Oregon anyway. They gonna put two "so-so" games back to back? Some of this has the look of "destiny" to it. Hope I'm wrong. I know that's a buzzkill an' a half.

And UT ( Again , in the NIT ) once as well and an 8-20 and a massive investigation. That's 3 seasons unx missed the NCAA's ENTIRELY and the prospect of draconian sanctions moving forward. I can live with the early exits and 2 nattys in 5 years but , hey , that's jus' me.
