Foreman should win but Lamar Jackson has basically been penciled in since Louisville put the beat down on FSU in week 3.

Foreman rushed for over 2,000 yards on a terrible Texas team, and even missed one game against UTEP which would have probably put him well over 2,200.

Wow. I thought I paid attention to college football but apparently I don't...

I have never even heard of foreman or that someone rushed for that many yards this year.

Guessing he didn't have enough TDs to go with those yards.

Anyone know what the worst team record has been for a heisman winner?

Wasn't Paul Hornung a heisman winner on a ND team with a losing record? Yet another reason to hate Notre Dame... Even when the sucked they won awards. Don't know if he deserved it or not, I'm just complaining to complain I guess...

Feels kinda like Troy Davis at Iowa State in the 90s.

'Bama gets no Heisman love? I'm surprised.

I heard the 5 (not 3) finalists on the radio last night and was surprised that their QB wasn't one of them, just because the trophy seems to go to "the best player on the best team" and "it has to be a skill position player" mentality that the talking heads always talk about.

His stats aren't that impressive (albeit he is a freshman) so I am glad he didn't make it.

Maybe it was the 10-0 win against LSU where is was 0-0 in the 4th quarter. Hell Wisconsin scored more and their offense was not very good most of the year in putting up points.

  • I've seen Jackson not even be the best QB on the field when he's played some of his games. He's a Johnny Manziel playground player with freaky quickness but he isn't the best player in college football. Not even close. The award is supposed to be "best player" not "most athletic player". Fournette and McCaffrey IMO are still the two best guys in college IF I were starting a team. Injuries have slowed them both along with a down year for their offensive lines but those dudes may be two of the best players we'll see for a while. Peppers is up there too and hopefully he'll win it because some of the other options aren't great.
