What now? We just opened the door ... but for whom?

Jalen Hurts looking good today. He's amazing. If he does this again next week against Florida, he might sneak in and grab it?

Adoree Jackson looking great today and getting some buzz ... but don't see him getting enough votes over Jake Browning out West.

Baker Mayfield has a shot next week.

I'd guess Jackson still wins, but we sure made the race more interesting today.

The commentators today had a good point about the hatred for Petrino in the national media being taken out against Jackson.

I think that's a fair point, but where else do the votes go?

I think a lot of people would be just as reticent to give Alabama (and Lane Kiffin!) another winner ... and a true freshman one to boot.

I'll go with the Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield if he has a big game against rival Oklahoma State next week. I believe they have a shot at the playoffs still. It is slim though.

How many fumbles does he have on the season? I tried looking it up but can't find a site that has fumbles listed in the stats. We know for sure about two in consecutive weeks in huge games. That's gotta take a lot of points off.

I don't put stock in Big 12 QBs. No defense played and they just pad stats. Jason White and Sam Bradford were blah.

I really don't think he was nervous. Dude shredded us all day. He made some mistakes, but I don't think it was because of nerves.

But you do agree that it was the biggest game of his career.

Florida State and Clemson games were definitely bigger stages ... huge national title implications.

Then Houston ... lesser national title implications.

Then this game.

I guess I'm going to start typing sarcastic posts in green, or something.

Let's be honest here. Jackson's 3 best opponents this year were clemson, an 8-3 FSU team, a 9-3 houston team (with losses to navy, smu and memphis), and a 7-5 UK team. He went 1-3. The only win was in what was probably the biggest game in uofl sports history.

If you give lamar jackson the heisman, you're just admitting that you care about video game numbers (largely coming against pathetic opponents) and not winning football players.

crazy, I don't care who Jackson played against, he is deserving of the Heisman, I think. No, I'm not a UofL fan as I'm sure everyone on here knows, but after watching him play, he is "One hell of a QB."
Without him, Louisville would be a 500 ball club. The kid can throw and run, and is a really good athlete.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Watson. Finished 3d last year, has had a solid year this, beat his biggest challenger head to head. Hands down I think.
