i think you have to lose a year of eligibility AND not receive scholarship aid the next year. he would have to pay his own way

Since he played this year he still has 4 years to play three. Why would he lose a year of eligibility? Not sure about the paying his own way. Turner didn't.

There used to be a rule for transfers within the B1G that a player loses one year of eligibility. Designed to discourage poaching within the conference.
