All right folks, as alien in these parts....what are the projected ACC bowls?
I know Clemson goes to the playoff, and the next team.....Wake or Notre Dame (if their contract is still there)?????gets the Orange.
Another goes to the Belk...
After that I'm lost.

Looks right now...and this is just me....that Louisville will play Tennessee in the Music City, while Kentucky goes to the Belk....or Liberty.(pretty similar payout). SEC will not gave enough teams to fill tie ins this year...Vanderbilt, one Mississippi school, South Carolina, Arkansas and Missouri are not eligible....so Independance, Birmingham, quite likely the Gator and perhaps one other will not have an SEC tie in either Liberty or Belk.
Soooooooo who looks like they are going where from the ACC???

If Clemson goes to the playoffs as the undefeated ACC champions, the winner of this weekend’s game between VT and Virginia (both 8-3) will get the Orange Bowl bid. Notre Dame would get the Camping World Bowl (Orlando). After that you have the Tier 1 games: Belk, Sun, Pinstripe and Music City/Tax Slayer. Got to figure that Wake Forest (8-3), Pitt (7-4), and the loser of VT/UVa will be 3 of the 4 selected for those games. UofL would be 8-4 and almost certainly would get the 4th Tier 1 spot if we beat UK.

After the tier 1 games, you have the Military Bowl in Annapolis, the Independence Bowl, and the QuickLane Bowl (Detroit). Right now Florida State and Miami are both 6-5. North Carolina and Boston College are 5-6, with the Tar Heels favored at N.C. State to become Bowl eligible. BC is an underdog at Pitt.

The ACC also has secondary agreements with the Birmingham and Gasparilla Bowls, and should both UNC and BC win this weekend, one of those two spots would be needed.

The new CFP rankings that came out tonight have an effect on the ACC Bowl picture.... Penn State moved ahead of Florida in the rankings, which makes Penn State the most likely choice for the ACC’s Orange Bowl opponent. If it is Penn State, then the Citrus Bowl would take Notre Dame, and everybody in the ACC moves up one spot.

In that case, an 8-4 UofL might have a shot at the Camping World Bowl game, but would probably need Syracuse to knock off Wake Forest this weekend, so that WF is also 8-4. The other top choice for the Camping World game would be the loser of the Virginia-VT game, which would also be 8-4.

Thanks. The SEC is the playoffs, then whoever's qualified as NY6, then the Citrus gets its pick (strangely large payout), then the group of 6.....outback, texas, music city, belk, liberty, gator. Then Independance and Birmingham. The League Office has a very large say in who goes where after the Citrus pick. There will be a lot of juggling in the bowl mix after the league championship between Georgia and LSU and the Alabama sans Tua vs Auburn game.
