I watched Hendo last season in the postseason. I was impressed with balance of speed and power offensively. They were solid defensively with a bend don’t defense. Just wondered what their record is snd the opinions of their fans. I would love to see a mountain team win a state championship.

Sump’em about Hendersonville and Maiden! We’ve had some wars together in the same conference! Bunch of us…over here in Maiden…are pulling for y’all!
I played in the Southern Foothills 1A conference a while back. My sophomore year we traveled to Hendersonville twice that year and got spanked both times! But the next year Hendersonville had to come down the mountain twice that year and we spanked them both times!!
In the 4 years I played at Maiden, Hendersonville was the only team I ever lost to twice.

7-1 and playing well. Lost to a great team from south carolina averaging like 50 points per game. Hopefully we can finish out conference undefeated and hit the ground running in the playoffs. Team runs the ball well and throws it well. I think it's a better team than last year.
They are really good, especially offensively. But not bad on D either.....No one from NC has stopped them yet.......realistically you are going to have to score 50 to beat them right now, and there are very few teams who can do that.
I saw them vs Polk and Chase... I picked against them in both games in part because they are so young. Top 2 WR's are Jr's Leading rusher is FR...Top 2 in tackles are Soph and a JR,,, I Picked Polk by 7 and Chase by one...Hendo won both by 30 in in part because #16 is really good. Not sure they are good enough in the trenches to make it to the state championship, not a knock but the 2A West is loaded.... I do think they are a tough out and can make a run! just my 2 cents. I had planned on going to Brevard and Hendersonville game and hit Pisgah Fish camp, with Brevard getting killed by Chase may find a different game now!
That was Maiden last year. Young and talented but shallow in the trenches. Our trenches are much improved this year and Hendersonville will figure it out too.

In my opinion, I think up front is one of the team's strong suit. When you talk about the trenches. You talk about units being able to move the opposite unit around and set the LOS in their favor. No team really just dominated this team up front. Not even Daniel and that team was amazing. I think it will come down to health, what coach puts their team in the best spots, execution and some luck sprinkled in. It will be tough for all teams in the west. It's going to get wild I believe. These young kids are experienced as well with the spring season. I think they will be fine. Have to win out to get good playoff seeding though.
Hendersonville IS a top team out west…they beat Shelby last year in the playoffs don’t forget,so it can be done
