So now instead of reusing those little plastic bags for a multitude of ways including trash bags , I have to buy small trash bags ...

Dont have paper bags bring your own or do with out . So many uses for those bags & by doing this they didn't solve any problems. Fact are most of us reuse them & will now have to buy plastic bags to replace those .
