Here's an example of why I have zero patience for politicians calling for more gun control.

The following is a link to a story that took place here in Martinsburg. I know the shop owner and have heard about this story on his facebook page for a while. Originally channel 25 (NBC out of Hagerstown) was going to do a story on it, but changed their minds and only after public outcry have decided to do a story on it again.

It's a straw purchase attempt that was thwarted by the shop owner. To date NOTHING was done about it by our government. Meanwhile the story in California about the neighbor who bought the guns for the couple in San Bernardino and how the government is going after him legally, when the move comes too late.

We don't need more laws, we need laws fuc#ing enforced.

I agree with that, but what is standing in the way of those laws being enforced? Maybe modifications need to be made so they CAN be enforced?

What standing in the way is the desire. Unfortunately we are a nation of people that react after the fact, not before the fact.

We can close whatever loopholes we think exist (gun shows are a HUGE red herring) but as long as the feds don't bother enforcing them nothing will matter.

Liquor store owner in Towson 2 weeks ago utilized deadly force to thwart a robbery. I saw nary a news story on it. I will admit I wasn't actively looking though.

Martinsburg has had 4 armed robberies in the past 2 nights. One was a convenience store right next to my office, one that I'm in everyday.
