I figured I'd get this one started, Mitchell is getting better as the year goes on with a young team, im thinking a two or three score win by the cougs where they pull away late

I will be the first to admit, I was wrong about this years Mitchell team. They are better than I expected. Having said that. Nope don’t see them hanging with the green team. Just hope I can get there and support.

You never know with rivalry games. Our jvs have played the second half the last two weeks so it's hard to make any comparisons there. We didn't have are jvs against Hendo and Chase just are normal back ups. I'm not gonna say we blow them out cause you never know but I wouldn't be shocked if that's how it turns out either. All I know is Mitchell's gonna be tough the next few years so we better get them while we can.

Mitchell played great this season, but heritage is class of the conference, heritage by 28 or more
This is the best WHC game the entire year. I’ll take my Cougs, but Mitchell is a very good team.
Mitchell has been a pleasant surprise this year as I did not expect the record we have so far. Starting I think 6 sophomores so we are young but have improved as they have adjusted to the speed of the game. Physicality against Heritage will be the issue I think this year. But we might can keep it close.
I could be wrong but I doubt it's that close. Heritage should win by 21+.
No one from McDowell should be analyzing high school football

I do believe after what both counties have been thru the past month, this game is what we both need, We might talk trash and wear purple or Kelly green but we always look out for each other, good luck to both teams.Mitchell and Yancey counties stay strong, we will get thru this horrible time and we both will be better than bfore
Wish I could make it tonight. Both teams have played great ball this year. I believe Heritage is a couple steps ahead of us though and that's nothing for this young Mitchell team to hang their head about. I'm gonna say Heritage 40-14 wouldn't be surprised if it was a one score game either. Anything can happen in a rivalry like this.

I think it ended up 54-12 or something like that. Heritage won't face a real challenge until the 3rd round of the playoffs.
Mercy. I think there might have been a little fools gold, especially with Mitchell’s ease of schedule leading up to this game.
There was but Heritage is for real. That win over Erwin has looked better and better each week.
Congrats to the green team. Went just about like I expected. Heritage has an outstanding ball team. Lots of different weapons.

I’m happy for my Cougs! I wish the best for the Mounties as they care just as much about Mitchell as we care about MH. Unlike some schools, we don’t have fair weathered fans.
Does anyone know if the mountain heritage vs draughn game will be Friday or Saturday
Mountain heritage vs Mitchell was scheduled for this past Saturday and was played Friday instead. Want to make sure this game isn’t the same way
Would one or more Draughn or Mountain Heritage fans let us know if the game is actually going to be played on Friday or Saturday. Some of us would like to visit you community and pay real US Greenbacks to see the game!
It's at Draughn but I don't think they've decided if it's on Friday or Saturday yet the game with Mitchell was supposed to be Saturday but they changed it to Friday late in the week

I guess someone on the staff gave MaxPreps the wrong information or it changed and no one gave them the new day and time. MaxPreps don't schedule day and time on their own.
