It's so obviously, staged. Still, coaches who think this crap is funny are the problem. This country has gone into a giant sh*t hole. It's not funny. It's humiliating and embarrassing. They should be removed from youth sports of any kind.

Yeah, I think it probably is staged but the way the goalie blindsides and whacks a guy toward the end could’ve resulted in a pretty bad injury

I am one of those that hates the stupid fights in hockey (sometimes they are warranted though) and I thought it was humorous and light hearted given it is hockey.
You are clearly an even grumpier person than me. And get it my grass.
Anyone involved should be banished from youth sports. Totally irresponsible. Like every ‘play-fight’ ever, it starts light-hearted and predictably escalates out of control. Could easily have a skate blade incident, broken bone, concussion.

In this litigious climate there are Kents and Karens everywhere. The league’s insurance company isn’t going to be happy.
I was a department chair and every year we’d meet with the university lawyer. “Your first mandate: do nothing that will get the university sued.”
“It was a silly harmless prank that backfired,” how many times have we heard this? At the very least there’s likely going to be an investigation on exactly whose idea this was. (If it were the coach’s idea, or if the coaches knew it was coming, not good.) Who needs this? F around on your own time, like I did.

LOL.. I was wondering about that.... And the fact that no referee even attempted to stop it.
I did get a kick out of it though.

It's not grumpy. It's knowing what's right.
It’s harmless, sure. Kids who actually play hockey have a tendency to the rough and tumble.
