Joe Sharp just said FU. He is the trainer that employed the exercise rider that died at Keeneland this morning. He won a race and they interviewed him. He couldn't really string 2 words together until he said "she had a grit and determination that you don't see much in her generation."

It really is sad but it's a dangerous game. On average, 2 jockeys a year die on the track. Hopefully she died doing what she loved. Very sad.

And look at the 20 somethings rushing to this thread to respond.

Many have more important things to attend to, like getting a higher education at three times the real cost of what we paid 40 years, ago.

I’m 59: all that we say of the young, was said of our generation, but many of our generation used more drugs.

Not sure we used more. I'd guess the youngsters use more prescription drugs than we did. They also have access to legal - and more potent - weed.

Young people will never know our struggle of smoking brown brick weed filled with stems and seeds that might or might not’ve smelled like ammonia and/or pesticides.

"The world is passing through troublous times. The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all restraint. They talk as if they knew everything, and what passes for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for the girls, they are forward, immodest and unladylike in speech, behavior and dress."
(From a sermon preached by Peter the Hermit in A.D. 1274).

I'll work to be better by the time I reach 30.
If I had it all to do over, again, I wouldn’t change a thing, for fear of disturbing the space-time continuum, and leading in some way to UK hiring Scott Satterfield instead of Mark Stoops.

All the olds that like to complain about young kinds, maybe your generation should have done a better job raising your children.

Your generation is responsible for these screwed up kids today. Y'all kept telling them they could be anything they wanted, and now we've got people identifying as gender neutral aliens.
