Guys, and the occasional lady, you really need to get off of the measly $8.33 per month and become a member.
You are missing some really good stuff right now.
Danny has started his daily preview post, profiling and explaining the good, the bad, and the ugly for each team football team.
Matt is constantly posting new material. He just did a really good piece on Overstreet out at Staunton River. If Basketball is your thing, Matt has no offseason. He keeps everyone up to date on all of the latest happenings on that front.
Other staff members post articles on their particular areas of the state from time to time.
I had to get Rod to convince me to join a few years ago. Maybe like you. I was doubtful if I was gaining enough "extras" for it to be worth joining. Without question, I GET MY MONEYS WORTH!
In case you wonder if I get something in return for my endorsement? The answer is absolutely not. I pay the exact same fee you do.
So why do I push you to join? For several reasons.
First, as a business man, I understand that you can't run a business at a loss. You have bills to pay, and you can't do so without income. Not enough income and the business ceases to exit. None of us want that.
Secondly, you become vested in this forum. You feel compelled to offer your insightful opinions, and just as importantly, you don't want to tolerate a poster that gets out of line. The more "members" that ask someone to chill, the more force it has.
And finally, I want you to truly be a part of our unique fraternity. Of course, you don't have to be a paying member to enjoy each other's company on the forum here, or live and in the flesh. I've met so many of you personally over the years that I've lost count. And to a person, I count you as my friend.
One of my goals is to grow our "in person" fraternity around the state. Naturally, playoff games present the best opportunity, but it can be at any event, at any time of the year. Often this is a simple pre-game hand shake, and a few minutes of football talk. This has added so much to my enjoyment of high school athletics around the state. I just want you to experience this same level of enjoyment.
Again, you don't have to be a premium member, (paying), to participate in what I've outlined above. Without question, you are welcome in every aspect, on this forum. But you can be a bigger and better part of the neat stuff going on as a member.
Please join and assure continued success of this terrific forum.
Thank you.
