Did you mean the "Euro Step"? That move has never been a walk though it's been called that way in the past. The problem in this clip is that Giannis took at least two of them.FIBA creating and then the NBA adopting the concept of the "zero step" is the worst thing to ever happen to the game.

Thanks, somehow that's the first time I've ever heard anybody mention Zero/Gather Steps. I just googled and watched a video of examples.No. Euro steps and Zero/Gather Steps are not the same thing. You can google zero step for basketball and get caught up.
I think the euro step is fine when done correctly. Simply don’t allow a 3rd step. Thats fair. They need to eliminate the euro step and make these guys play 90s man’s basketball. It’s hurting the youth too. My boy loves James harden and in middle school he’s constantly doing euros and step backs which he’s good at but depending on who’s officiating it’s called a walk half the time. Makes me so upset the inconsistency. All an opposing coach has to do is yell it’s a walk and it gets called. We work on this constantly in the gym but it does no good. I hate the euro
As a guy who plays 2-3 nights per week... how do I defend this lol?
He did. All together, he took 8 steps while putting the ball on the floor 1 time. 3 steps, then dribble, 5 full steps. He travels twice on that one play.
Note how he even walked before he started the dribble. The ball must leave the hand before the pivot is lifted.
Yes. Even church leagues call it.Im curious…do leagues call it?
I watched some old nba and ky games a while back. It was more difficult to create spacing when finishing. Imagine MJ with a euro. The euro didn’t exist until Ginobli started doing it.I think the euro step is fine when done correctly. Simply don’t allow a 3rd step. Thats fair.
