It appears that Randy Mazey is the latest WVU coach to take a powder, so that he doesn't have to play Marshall. "tHuggsitis" has spread to WVU's baseball program.

kind of like a team and conference making excuses for a 6-0 team making the football playoffs...fairly disingenuos
Herd hurt their RPI, despite them being 14-18, and losing to Coastal Carolina in hoops.
Hard rims, bad lighting, the herd coach doesn't kiss our ***, refs call too many fouls on us, game means more to them than us, we have to split the revenue, huntington is closer to charleston than morgantown, etc. etc. etc.
I give the cousins credit though. They have the market cornered on disingenuous excuses. I don't think they've ever lost a game that was fair & square.

let me explain this very simply........after the most recent beatdown of your football and basketball teams by WVU one or both of your loudmouthed coaches said that WV was scared to play marshla and that we should get a dog......well WV doesn't need a dog because they already have a Bear...and until marshla shows some respect there will be no games between the two schools.....the plain fact is that a WVU game would be marshlas superbowl and a marshla game for WVU would be a warmup for conference play...the truth hurts but you wanted it so there it is

Which has zero to do with athletes, but since you brought it up; the governor got caught twisting arms for his little girl and the president of the university was removed as well as a few department heads. People were held accountable and didn’t sit around and blamed the compliance director.
I would place that into the state corruption file. The governor was the one who wanted this to happen, and the ones who agreed were caught, resigned or were removed.
Same time period of the mops for props and the test cheating investigation, Marshall was allowing players to get pay checks from boosters as well as getting to drive new Dutch Miller Chevrolet cars around.
