Hats off to my PANTHERS for working hard and getting back on the right track. All the negative comments and general haters just being haters,, this team showed they have the guts to get better.. Hats off to Coach mackey for having them ready, and the players for the friday night effort . I see stuff in this HHS team we havent seen before, not sure i have ever seen a freshman score at hibriten in a varsity game,, or a qb operate out of shotgun, or offense even in the spread? One things for sure i think this team will get better each week,, and for those haters,, dont be surprised to be coming to a couple games in lenoir in nov!!

Williams did score, maybe 2x. Steven Ferguson was brought up to Varsity in early to mid 90’s in the 4th or 5th game of season! Wound up being our leading rusher and scored a few td’s... would go on to be alltime rusher, until Gee!!!! Steven also was alltime rusher at Elon for awhile if I’m not mistaken!
I don't know why anybody would say anything negative. I would expect Hibriten to make a deep playoff run with their 3A numbers.
Maybe there should a Very Small 3a playoff for North Davidson,South Point,Burns, and Hibriten.
Will these guys ever lose to anyone in their cupcake conference? Ha ha. I figured before the season started that Foard would be their hardest conf game but I take that one back too. Super low gate sale and I joked before last year that during conference play you will only see parents, girlfriends, and a few ‘can’t stand it gotta see em play wearing Hibriten sweatshirt diehards ‘ and bout 25 30 students not even paying attention to the game talking bout who’s throwing a party who’s parents are out of town ha ha
One big long practice lasting for 2 months prepping up for Shelby. Somewere along the way they might meet up with North Lincoln. I wouldn’t sleep on those guys although as of now I’d foresee a Hibriten win. West Lincoln won’t be a joke either if they meet.

I don't think any of those teams can beat Shelby. North Davidson probably comes out east again unless something changes

I know Lion Attack gets on me but I have always been one who never gets to high or to low. A lot of football to be played.
It’s amazing to must of us how Shelby sandbags, eats humble pie and then calls out 4a teams. Never trust a Lion!
In 2015 I will admit I said I believe we could have played with Mallard Creek but that was the only time.
of course you would believe that, even the top 1AA schools believe they would have beat Crest and Mallard Creek that year...based on pure faith.
I don’t believe Crest could have beat MC that year. Clark showed that year he couldn’t coach. Crest was lucky to squeak by Weddington in the third round and struggled against Cuthbertson as well as piedmont...now 2014 Crest was on another level.

Lots of reasons this game was a lot closer then it should of been.... The kids responded in the 2nd half but can’t sleepwalk through half the game in November and December!!!!
HHS had several starters miss 1st qtr due to not wearing correct socks! I like discipline, but that kinda got us in a funk! Ghost penalties keeping drives alive, no pass rush in 2nd qtr all sorts of crap. They’re young, good growing and learning experience. Give Ashe credit, they sling it all over the field! Kid threw for like 485 yds 1st game of season!
