Sorry to intrude but I wanted to share some 'premium content'. Opinions of BH from the KU fanbase. Forgive the long post but this was one thread quotes. Personal hats off to the entire OU team that has a legit shot to win everything.

What a stud. Best performance I've seen in AFH since Durant. He doesn't play on our team, but I have no problem with him. Plays the game with class, doesn't gloat or taunt. Would love to see more like him. I know he can't keep playing like this, but OU has a legitimate chance to make the FF.
he could play for my team all day every day. Everything I've heard is he's a great kid off the court too.
Got to give respect to him
POY
Watching the SC interview with Hield and he said that his turnovers cost his team the game. Said he and Self have a good relationship and that Self told him to keep his head up. Love seeing a player that humble. Were it not for Hield it wouldn't have been a contest. What a stud.
No offense to KD, but Buddy just dwarfed his performance. Never seen anything like it. Just incredible. NPOY is his to lose.
Great interview with SVP and a class act. You gotta feel for the kid. I'll continue to root for him as long as he's not playing against Kansas.
He can play on my team any time. Great kid.
Impressive interview.....great player. The thing I like most about Heild is he is self built. He has worked his *** off to become the player he is. Nothing given to him....its all earned. OU gained a lot of respect from me tonight.
Favorite non-KU player. Not close
Hield reminds me so much of a young Dwayne Wade....so smooth!
Hard to hate a kid that puts 46 up in your house, leaves it all on the floor, loses, and still walks out with a smile.
It's what the whole game is about.
I love me some Buddy Hield. Dude is an absolute stud and a class act. My son was fortunate to meet him this summer and I couldn't have been more impressed with his interaction.
I'm really disappointed in him. He didn't even score a point a minute.
Seriously, though, just an unreal talent. He's much easier to like than most great players. He just goes out and plays and lets his play do his talking. He also was very well spoken in his interview. It's cool to hear kids saying "Yes sir" in an age where most kids have no manners whatsoever.
Watched him after the game and on the ESPN interview. He is a class act, and I loved watching him
Amen, and it's a crime has wasn't given player of the game. Ellis was a stud, but that's a KU blowout without Hield.
Kid has a contagious smile, and carries himself with a tremendous amount of humility. He's a joy to watch and a kid that you can't help but root for in life.
I think kid is absolutely legit. He'll have a couple bad games along the way, but that's because every coach he faces the rest if the way will make the entire defensive gameplan about stopping him. He's that good.
Hield is the front runner for National POY after tonight.
I've always liked Hields game. Tonight, I found a non-Jayhawk hero. The guy is everything I could ever want a son to be, with or without the basketball skills. He can slapp the floor every time on defense. I dont care. He's a winner in basketball and in life.
Kid is one of the best players in college basketball and he is definitely a class act. Gets into the games like many but leaves it on the court. Has my respect for sure...
It would take a great deal of effort on someone's part to not like him. He's a class act.
National Player of the Year, enough said
Hield played his *** off an he deserved the standing O AFH gave to him. The kid is one hell of a basketball player and an even better person and his postgame interview reflected that. I respect the hell out of Hield.
