I live in Washington state. I like to hike around a lake about 5 miles from me. Lots of trees so it's good if it is drizzling (it does that a lot here) or hot like today.

My all time favorite place is Hocking Hills state park in Ohio.

Others I’ve enjoyed…Mt LeConte near Gatlinburg TN, Mt Mitchell in NC, Cumberland Falls state park in KY, Mt Rainier national park in WA.

Next month we are vacationing in Maine and plan to hike in and around Acadia national park.

We just hiked Mount Mitchell last Saturday. Going to Grandfather tomorrow, weather permitting

When we're in East TN, we go over to Roan Mtn and hike the AT, starting at Carver's Gap. If you go there, go into the town of Roan Mtn and treat yourself to a pizza at Smokey Mtn Bakers. We also like to hike the Brevard, NC area in the Pisgah National Forest. Bridal Veil Falls is a nice hike there.

In Florida, we do most of our hiking in the winter, but there's lots of preserves close to us. The Loxahatchee is nice, and there are some nice trails in the Everglades. Just behind where we live, the Savannahs preserve is really nice

I did Pictured Rocks in Michigan a couple of years ago and would highly recommend it if you’re in the Midwest or Kentucky. Easy hiking. Amazing views. Great mix of facilities available.

Gonna be in Leadville Colorado for 2 months starting next week. I’ll be up and down Mosquito Pass a lot, and Elbert as well. Big goal is to do Maroon Bells.

Next year: I’m determined to do the O + W trek in Chile.
Can I ask why you will be there for two months? I love it out there and envy you.

Man we hit Maroon Bells at the peak of wildflower season last year. Some absolutely overwhelming views. Enjoy!

Wife and I are doing the Leadville Trail 100 ultramarathon. This will be my 5th time and her first. We both work remotely/for ourselves, and got a free place to stay for the summer. We’ll be working and playing in the mountains/training during our down time.
Awesome!

There now. I love Kings Island. In line for Delerium. Orion was OK but they are fighting the laws of diminishing returns on how big the drops are.

My neighbor has 60 acres of hills close to the Ft. Knox reservation. Plenty of hiking to be done in here without having to travel anywhere.

I watch a YouTube show “Goob’s adventures.” Pretty straightforward hiking show. The guy hiked the Appalachian trail, the Continental Divide Trail and Pacific trail. It’s good at giving you ideas about the how, the where, and the who. Great scenery. Again, it’s a no frills channel, but I like it.

How'd you like Grandfather mountain? Did you take that rope bridge?

And Mount Mitchell is hikable? I thought you just drove up and walked 100 yards to the top.

There are a few hiking trails at MM. Grandfather is a fun hike and the swinging bridge is really neat. A really good hike is crabtree falls which is really close to MM
