You know what else I found oddly hilarious? The Washington football team’s new name. The Commanders. Makes me think of a corny movie serial like Flash Gordon.

People have no imagination when it comes to nickname/mascots. Why not the Washington Generals? Or the Washington Monuments. and why don't the Washington Nationals have an airport as a logo? Why not the Cleveland Rocks? Why isn't Liberty University the Statues? Why aren't we the Northwestern Territories, or something like that?

My favorite all-time nickname is Ann Arbor Pioneer. They are the Pioneer Pioneers. Their conference mates include the Huron River Rats, the Lincoln Railsplitters, the Dexter Dreadnaughts and the Bedford Kicking Mules. Those are good nicknames.

Never was impressed with Kelly as a coach or human being. This just reinforces my long held opinions. But nobody really cares how I feel, especially him. I would take Fitz over him as a coach any day.

My initial over/under of 3 years at LSU before Kelly is fired is looking better all the time. No way he gets to the half way point of an insane 10 year contract.


I don’t think Tiger fans will flinch at whatever the buy out may be.
