Hilinski's lack of mobility really limits this offense

He's actually a better passer than I had thought but he is not mobile enough to excel behind this o line. He's just not a threat to run at all.

I made the same comment during the game. He is not a threat to even keep the defense honest that he might run. We also roll him far more to the left that make him throw across his body.
He has a gun for an arm. Today was the first time I saw any type of touch. Hope that continues to improve.

we do not have a pro style offensive line and he is a pro style qb.

I’m watching the evening games with some good QBs and do just never see Hilinski scrambling, with his eyes downfield, and hitting a 3rd or 4th receiver option on target.

While not a running QB, RH seems mobile enough to manage rolling out, etc. (he's at least as mobile in that respect as Trevor, something which the previous OC/Fitz severely underutilized).

Question is - whether RH sees the field effectively and can throw accurately while on the move.

Based on what he does in the pocket, highly doubtful.

I was listening to the game, and half-watching other parts. In the fourth, Dave Eanet had a call, Hilinski forced to scramble. It sounds like he’s really being aggressive, probably after a half roll. And it sounds like he’s really moving. And then Dave tells me he’s stepped out of bounds with a short loss.

Oh well, Eanet’s still the best in the business. (I say this having listened to <5 other college football broadcasts.)

He does not see the field and/or our receivers have no clue about how to get open after they run their route and/or they are told not to go deep ever in that situation.
