It's socialism Moe. It requires government takeover and central planning of the economy. Redistribution of wealth, no competition, no choice, government ownership of resources and production, individual rights removed for the sanctity of the state. Its always the end result of socialism, no matter whether its cleverly disguised as "progressivism" or "democratic socialism".

The degree of force necessary to gain that control is paramount. Remember, Hitler was voted in by the people due to a struggling economy, high unemployment, racial unrest, and violence in the streets. It was only after he made himself Furher, consolidated his power, and began to crush his enemies, real and perceived.

Hitler!! Nazis!! Gov't state!! go hide under your bed until we tell you to come out.
