IHSA has Mt. Carmel and Glenbard North both at 39 playoff points right now. If Mt. Carmel loses they will pick up an extra playoff point and move up to 40 playoff points and be the #16 seed not the #17 seed therefore getting a Round 1 home game correct?

Niualum2002,

I would tend to agree with your statement. It looks like the "Clinchers and Hopefuls" page has the Friday night outcomes in the MC playoff point total. MC picks up another point from Loyola, if they lose today.

GN locked at 17 or 16 seed, though, so we still get a possible GW vs GN matchup.

What about a possible Glenbard West vs Glenbard North in round 2?

This would be interesting because the schools are so close together and yet never play each other in football.

Is there any reason why these teams never play each other???

Sorry that GW is not in a "conference" with five teams. GW only has one non-conference slot open in week 1. Played WWS the last four years. What week did GN have open this year?

If you are concerned about the District 87 school boundaries, you should have voiced you opinion at board meetings 30 years ago when they were set. Three Glenbards south of North Ave and one that is north, so unfortunately some students ride a bus.

I am very interested for you to tell everyone about the "six degrees of separation" from Montini involved in that possible GW v GN matchup.

Wussup revised his original post. He wanted to know why students from Glendale Heights rode a bus to GE when GW was closer.
Ok, seemed like there was more to it. I was wondering if maybe you were out somewhere with Tandm.

Ge, you just jumped off the deep end...what happened there?

Just joking about the relentless Montini trivia posted by the human RSS feed, and particularly about player connections to Montini when those players never played a snap of varsity football in Lombard.

Anything one could post somehow relates back to Montini football.

Is a Glenbard South - Lisle consolidation another HC/HS situation? Those people also scuttle a lot of capacity enhancements for rt. 53
