Playing Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop games (around twice a week since '96)
Collecting Silver and Bronze Age DC and Marvel comic books
Reading history and astronomy books
Hiking

And I have a small Star Wars action figure collection on display in my living room, reissues of vintage figures I had as a kid.

That's about it.

Hiking
Volleyball

And a lifetime of collecting, learning about, and listening to music. Blues and Classic Rock. I’d consider myself an amateur expert on the topic.

I think it depends. Sitting around absorbing an album or dissecting a film is a lot different from streaming spotify or netflix and chill. Fine line between hobby and time-waster.

Well technically the "chill" part of Netflix and Chill is a hobby.

- as HK knows, playing duplicate contract bridge
- I was big into going out West skiing 1-3x per year, and maybe another 5-7 days at Perfect North, but my 40+ years of bum knee finally won't take the pounding & turning anymore. Hardly bothers me for everyday stuff, so not ready to replace.
- We traveled out of the country 1-2x/yr pre-covid. Have trip to Greece set for Sept.
- Love reading the paper WSJ in the morning for an hour or so while having my coffee.
- Obsess on UK football
- Workout or walk 4 miles just about every day.
- Read a lot of history. Also like the developments/changes in languages over time.

I'm a wine enthusiast too - drinking. I rarely spend more than $20 on a bottle though. Just not enough difference for me.

Where do you travel? Been to almost all of Europe, Oz & NZ & all over Canada. Every state but ND.

I too like to find good wines at reasonable prices. If I spend more than $40, I expect a lot and am usually disappointed when it's only good not great. $8-$25 is my target range depending on the type.

I have been to most of Europe (especially wine growing regions). Some of my favorite travels were to St. Petersburg, Egypt, South Africa, China, and Argentina. I have not made it to Australia or NZ.

I scored the Retro Collection ESB Leia for pocket change on eBay last week and she arrived yesterday. My Star Wars Retro Collection is now complete (at least until Dengar, IG-88, and the RotJ series land in December). :)

YEAH BUT DO YOU DEADLIFT, BRO?

Ramped up a lot of lifting lately, trying to drop my COVID15 (ok, 20).. I've refocused my lifting a bit at 35 and don't bother going for 1rep-maxes where form breaks down. I used to deadlift into the 300's, but now, I don't go much past 225. Would rather get 5-6 good reps of 225 than try for 1 rep of 315 and rip my back apart.

I always struggle on where to place deadlift in my splits. Actually it's the hardest one for me to place, as it hits lats, lower back, and hammys.

Yeah... but who'd want to listen to a guy playing Springsteen covers all night?
If they ever do a Tales From The Crypt remake, a good episode would be someone meeting the devil at the crossroads to sell his soul for guitar ability, but then getting double-crossed and only able to play Glory Days.
