The states not paying for Minnesota's athletic village as far as I know and that's usually the case. Minnesota raised 76.5M privately for it and the rest 89.5M will be supplemented by athletic revenue bonds. For academics yes, for athletics I don't see too many projects that don't have a large measure of private funding and the leftover made up through athletic revenue bonds.As Hud said, you need to manage it. Every state U worth their salt is taking more money from the state than Rutgers is. If the University of Michigan can do it, Rutgers can do it. If we don't we will fail wholly and completely.
You can't have a state university not funded by the state on every level.
