Oklahoma State scored 41 points. Season average: 68.6.


Kansas scored 60 points. Season average: 79.5.


Ohio State scored 59 points. Season average: 76.1.

In the last 3 games Huggins Heroes have held their opponents to a combined FIFTY THREE POINTS under their season average!!!!
There are coaches who would give up their firstborn to have a defense like this!!!!

A good step in finding some offense would be for Haley, Mathews and McCabe to play like we know they are capable of. Its not like they havent done it before. Those guys need to find their game.

As usual I prefer to look at things that make me give a thumbs-up rather than things that make me want to give the middle finger. And I know that there's more than defense to basketball. But WVU's rebounding is pretty awesome, too.

Free throw shooting is like standing with a golf ball at your feet: Mindset. You have to get your body to do what your mind is telling it to do. Huggins is great at psychology. Maybe he should get someone to explain to the player who, if they think the ball into the basket before they shoot it, and relax, it might go in more often.

Anyway, I thought that was an awesome proof of the Pitbull Defense. It will be VERY difficult to rout WVU if you can't get close to your season scoring average. No argument about that, right?
