Do you think Hoiberg will go to KU if Self goes to North Carolina or retires? Or maybe Hoiberg to North Carolina? He has to be the hot name with the great season that we have had. A win tonight will propel him to the top, don't you think? Should we be worried?

The only scenario where I think he may leave is if Otzelberger leaves ISU. Even then with Hoiberg’s health I’d still doubt it. I don’t believe he will be coaching well into his sixties.

Just an opinion, but if Fred repeats this a couple times he would be the "hot name" out there.

Dannen Yogurt already said he's making a bigger commitment to basketball so if that makes Fred happy then I don't see him leaving.

i have to believe the mayor is well down the list at unc and if it opens ku. his college record is "spotty." .557 at isu in league play. .374 at N. he looks right at home in lincoln. a good fit for both. that's where i expect him to stay.

Self may retire, but he is not going to Carolina.

Not worried. Fred's wife absolutely loves Lincoln. They have solid roots and friends here now with their kids going through high school, and now on to college.

I think Fred would really like to build something here. ****, we already need to build a statue of him outside of The Vault.

the coach in waiting thing at creighton, good grief. maybe mac does what wittingham did getting the michigan gig, after being pushed out, then taking a lot of uu talent, to the cringe of ute fans who wanted him gone. sweet karma. like kyle, mac seems too young to hang it up, particularly if he was pushed out.

Whittingam was not pushed out I talked to Utah fans at the bowl game. If A school like Michigan wasn’t calling he was set to retire.
