And a lot of high schools have the room numbers on the outside of their buildings? So kids go outside to go to every class throughout the day? 🤔🤔🤔 I knew we were in some strange times but….
My elementary, middle, and high school had outdoor access to some class rooms. Sucked pretty bad when it was raining.

I was being a smartass. That looks like a near office or near gym indoor display to me.

But actually - in my high school we did have to walk through the courtyard outside to get to some classes.
Glad to hear you were being a smartass. With the way the world is today where some people just make up “facts” ..it’s hard to tell when people are being serious.

FCPS…please, please don’t do it. And in November Fayette County voters please vote for the correct school board candidates 😁.
You make a very important point. School Boards are important and you must get it right when you vote. Don't just skip it or mark the first name you see to get it over with. Study each one's position and also what background they come from.

Then make a decision based on the facts. A bad school board makes education hell on earth.

Gentlemen can we please get back on the topic of why college educated people still believe masks stop Covid?
Who knows/cares? They think it looks like they’re doing something bc they can’t do anything more than what they’re doing, so it keeps most people off their backs.

now that the newspaper article has come out, they are wearing their masks for the pictures 😉

-I'd be more worried about diabeetus and heart health than covid if I were them. These are terrible examples being set for kids.

^not being flippant...I worry about people like that. No wonder they're terrified of covid.

Masks will stop it this time! After all, they've proven to do so well before...

Just hilarious. If you needed another reason to tell people to stick masks up their a$$. If they really thought they worked, they wouldn't put them on solely for photo ops.

The union rep in that article is second from left. This apparently was at a FCPS new teacher orientation today. See everyone wearing a mask in the photo 😂. And if she really cared about “all those teachers concerned about kids not wearing masks”, then why wouldn’t she wear one outta “respect” 😉. That AFT union group is a joke and one of Andy beshears many puppet groups. But, they actually represent a very small amount of teachers.
post pictures
The one that’s as wide as she is tall from eating peanut M&Ms during her 10 breaks during her school day?

Well, probably the same reason that surgeons wear masks in operating rooms. It’s really common sense. Of course right wing knee jerk republicans are so full of hatred to realize same. Some of you people on here are lunatics. You might want to pray harder for eastern ky by the way because global warming is a hoax now isn’t it.

I have to believe there will be some serious pushback and outright rebellion over this nonsense this time around. Enough scientific data has been accumulated and is readily available that school boards are going to have a hard time defending any mask mandate. But, honestly, I hope they try it. That'll fuel the fire of a red wave election even further.

And on teachers unions. I know not every teacher supports the union. But, enough of them voted as a bloc to oust Bevin a few years ago. And true, he wasn't perfect but, at least he wasn't hosting drag queens at the Capitol.
Teachers union could be busted, especially in red states if enough members that oppose the politics of their leadership were to band together and throw the woke SJW's out. Let's pray that happens eventually.

Looks like we’ve got official guidance for the foreseeable future:
Fayette County Public Schools has a mask optional policy in all district facilities and on school buses. Masks are still required in the health room. We encourage every family to weigh their personal circumstances before making a decision that meets their needs.

When our community is in red, medical experts advise the proper usage of face masks while indoors and/or in crowds. Properly worn masks should cover the nose and mouth of the wearer.

In FCPS, we strongly recommend everyone wear a face mask while indoors whenever community levels are in the red.

We want all of our families to know that we support your decision to make the choices that are best for you and your loved ones. Either way is OK!

Big fan of this common sense approach:
Since COVID-19 will be with us for the foreseeable future, we have to integrate it into how we operate, rather than allowing it to be our primary focus. This year we are moving away from daily data reports, weekly email updates, and a revolving door of re-evaluating procedures and issuing new guidance.

Our top priority remains the health and well-being of our students, employees, and families, even as we shift the emphasis away from mandates toward individual choice and accountability. Staying home when you are sick is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19. During this time of rising cases, even if you think "it's just allergies," please take an at-home test before heading out the door that morning.

You know your children and individual family circumstances best, and we encourage you to make healthy, well-informed decisions.

Please be well and take care of each other, DL

Yes!!! So happy to receive that email from Dr. Liggins today! Glad he took the common sense approach and stood up to the unions. I was encouraged since I have been seeing pictures of him in schools without his mask on but until we had in it writing, you just never know. Happy for our kids!

Good move by Liggins.

Off-topic, but I’ve recently met a few central office-type administrators, and they have been pretty impressive. Much better than the usual folks of the past that just get promoted from within just because.

About 10% of folks in my building are masked. I’m not (yet). We’ll see how it goes when the kids get there. I’m able to keep my distance a bit from the kids, but we have a lot of close talkers on the staff.

The only hatred we have is of ignorance and the belief that cloth masks offer protection against viral particles is as ignorant as it gets.

Ha and thanks. I can’t wait to tell all the doctors I know just how stupid they are (per Jumper Jack)
I’m betting also you are one of those people who don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom. Am I right?
Finally, I know you have a hatred for liberals. Don’t be spreading more lies like Alex Jones.

Surgeons don’t wear masks in the operating room because of a virus. That’s just a bad example.

But Eastern Kentuckians should mask up for climate change to make sure it doesn’t rain.

The point about masks being worn by surgeons is that it stops help the spread of crap from them to their patients and also protects them as well. Is it fool proof? No. But is it a helpful barrier than can assist in protecting and transmitting? Yes. I guess you dont think that people spray saliva out of their mouths when they talk.
I think instead of wearing masks to stop the rain in eastern ky they instead should pray harder to God, because that seems to work, or they should put more carbon into the air to help soak up the moisture. I’m sure Exxon would agree with both.

No, you didn't.

If masks actually worked.....then how come they don't?
Because people like you don’t wear them or don’t wear them effectively, don’t social distance, and are not vaccinated. Nothing is fool proof or 100 perceny effective. But to deny that a barrier properly worn over your face does not aid in cutting down the dispersion of viral particles from people coughing or spitting when they talk or from ingesting particles when they breathe defies logic and physics. Admittedly, the n or k 95 masks are more effective than the paper or cloth., but that’s why i double masked during most of the original pandemic because it was a stronger barrier. I avoided getting covid entirely until about 2 months ago when It seemed we were out of the blue and I stopped masking as vigilantly as I had beenBut even then i got it from one of my kids who had travelled to disney world and brought it into my house. But for themost part I did what the experts recommended and avoided getting the original stronger virus.
And for that matter, did not get the flu either.

I just explained to you how it dies above. Can you not read?

You just regurgitated the lines the "experts" kept feeding people. Masks haven't stopped covid anywhere in the world, at any point.

I know it's hard to admit or maybe even accept from the monocle crowd since they were so much smarter than the rest of us. Masks never worked and never will.

And the support for your summary conclusion is what?
