records don’t matter in this hypothetical, but what does is the realization that Scott Frost - the worst coach in NU history - built a more talented team in 3 years than the guy we hired specifically for his year 3 successes
Of course it doesn't matter to you. You have an agenda.

Just like it did matter when comparing QBs. It was the one and only metric that mattered to you.

Context is your friend.

This campaign is sorely lacking.

Literally everybody here knows you have an agenda and flip flop when needed to fulfill that agenda.

It's okay. I just figured you'd admit it.
Yawn.

You’re really stretching here in an attempt to “get me”.

We haven’t recorded a single quality win in 3 years under Rhule. 7 meaningless wins last year en route to a D grade and endless mocking.

We were soft, slow, bitchh-made in ‘25. A team taking on the form of its leader.

Maybe crying about it more will help your crusade here?

They looked pretty good in the cooking challenge video.

You already got yourself. Everybody knows it.

What quality win did we garner under Frost, let alone in 2021?

All I know is that the '25 team had over double the wins than the '21 team which makes them better under your previous metrics.

Which has now changed because your agenda has now changed.

I would say that the win over Oregon in 2016 eclipses any win we’ve had since. Which is rather pathetic when you consider how long it’s been and the fact that it was a good-not-great win with the hindsight of the end of the 2016 season.

I feel like Rhule has been better than Frost to this point with two consecutive bowl games as evidence. But it is true that Rhule hasn’t been better in the quality win department, just only slightly better at beating inferiors to date. He needs a quality win next year to change the narrative. Rooting for it, but not emotionally attached the outcome any more.

Toss up. He "got him" in that it is a contradiction to use record for one argument, yet dismiss it for another argument. He did not "get him" in that in this case, Kong is right and HuskerO58 is wrong. Using record in this case is pretty pointless as the strength of schedule is pretty drastically different.

It is 100% pointless, I agree. Just like it was 100% pointless to use record as the only metric in determining which QB was best.

Hypotheticals are always pointless. Like in this case, he keeps using Frost's 3rd full season, but it was his 4th, because he is conveniently skipping the Covid year, which was year 3. So each point he makes about Frost assembling talent quicker than Rhule becomes even less relevant. Nothing is ever proven in these silly discussions. It is nothing more than message board kindling to keep conversation going.

Oh my goodness.
We’ve heard the same story with every O line coach since Barney. Barney took all kinds of crap his entire time on Pelini’s staff. Turns out, Barney was pretty good compared to every guy we’ve had since then. Excuse me if I doubt that changing the O line coach magically makes our offense better. QB? Maybe the QB run threat helps them.
