Holgorsen with South Florida skill players would be unstoppable in the ACC. He likely would win a championship in his first year just like he did in the Big East. He would never have to worry about facing 4 Top 15 teams in a row.

I think Dana enjoys coaching at WVU and even though the transition to a power conference has been difficult, he seems to enjoy the challenge. I don't see him going anywhere until his contract expires after the 2017 season or he wins a Big 12 championship.

Good article!

Holgorsen to Miami? If he wasn't going through the toughest October slate in school history, I'd say there was a chance. I kind of doubt he's got the sizzle factor for them right now.

I bet they end up getting a Cristobal or some other Miami guy.

Some of the names on that list are crazy as options. He should have just said Cristobal is the only real obvious name that is fresh and pops out.

Most other people in the country realize WVU is facing one of the toughest stretches that anyone has had to face--really ever in college football.
He is considered one of the top offensive minds by those outside the WVU hater squad.
Those outside realize he has faced a daunting challenge in switching conferences and having to play games far midwest against all new opponents with nothing but criticism and attack back home and a fairly fluid staff.

This is the key to the article...'He has a good job at WVU, but it’s a job that has become much more of an uphill battle since WVU got into the Big 12. Aside from Iowa State and the Kansas schools, his is the toughest job in the Big 12 to get talent'. At Miami, he would be able to take a much bigger stick into his conference fights. He also has a couple of guys on his staff with strong South Florida connections.

You have to look outside the box if you are a WVU fan at the logistics such as instate recruits, 1500 mile travel times inside one of the best conferences in the country and no more Big East schedule with many good teams but not 6 to 7 great teams!

Texas and Oklahoma are the only 2 schools according to rivals that are consistently getting better recruiting classes than WVU since we joined the Conference. WVU classes have been similar to TCU, Baylor, Oka State, Ttech, and we have always had better classes than Kansas state a team we have never beaten.

I can't believe how delusional some of you guys are like Holgs is some elite coach. He would be another bad hire for Miami. He would lose to FSU annually and Clemson when they are on the Miami schedule. He would also find himself another two losses most years.

Y'all do realize this joker has bounced down the food chain from ESPN to CBS to FS1. Also, perhaps not coincidentally, he happens to be buddies with Mike Leach to the extent he wrote Leach's book for him

He's perhaps less credible than many here because he actually has personal career and financial interest in promoting certain people.

Anyone want to bet on Dana being hired at Miami? I didn't think so.
