For some of them it is important. That’s why some are such admament Trump supporters. Because the Bible is so important and stuff.

No. But why should it receive a different label? If a couple doesn't believe in religion do they care if their marriage/union isn't recognized by any church or religious establishment?
No. But why should it receive a different label?
As long as you are man and woman! By your picture, are you man and bacon double cheeseburger?[winking]
Who cares what the label is?No. But why should it receive a different label?
Different people believe different things.....Christianity doesn’t have the monopoly on love and commitment and it’s role in family and family’s role in the purpose of lifeIt's not so much commitment as it is that it's part of Christianity. Contract vs. covenant isn't that much of a difference, except that contracts are made to be broken. To the Christian, marriage is supposed to be a model of Christ to the church. Among the many principles, of course one is husband and wife. The husband models Christ, and the wife the church.

But why do non-Christians care? They obviously don't believe what Christians do, so why do they care about a label?Obviously most Christians do.
But why do non-Christians care? They obviously don't believe what Christians do, so why do they care about a label?
I think most wouldn’t. But as I’ve said....there are many homosexual Christians that would probably care as well. For me, it’s about rights being the same. Changing definitions of marriage can just allow for rights to be changed in certain situations as well. For example: some states could vote to not recognize unions only marriages. But why do non-Christians care? They obviously don't believe what Christians do, so why do they care about a label?
Are you saying there are no gay Christians?
Are you saying all Christian churches accept homosexuality? Are you saying there are no gay Christians?
So it's not about the label, but about the rights then.I think most wouldn’t. But as I’ve said....there are many homosexual Christians that would probably care as well. That's what this country was based on. From the looks of things, marrying a hyperdermic needle and worshiping at the altar of cocaine and food stamps isn't working out for this country.,‘Merica! It’s all about about my freedoms as dictated by this 2000 year old archaic text!
Plenty of gay Christians. I will say this, if a gay couple can find a church to marry them, fine. If you find that church, it doesn't subscribe to the bible's teachings. Are you saying there are no gay Christians?
Are you saying all Christian churches accept homosexuality?
Plenty of gay Christians. I will say this, if a gay couple can find a church to marry them, fine. If you find that church, it doesn't subscribe to the bible's teachings.
For me. It’s all between me and my wife and family. But I want the same rights as anyone else.....so do homosexuals. So it's not about the label, but about the rights then.
Did you eat your bible?Same lame joke twice in one thread? Does the Bible mention anything about not having a sense of humor being a sin? It might be in the section about going to hell if you eat shrimp.
So would/should a gay couple expect a Christian church that doesn't accept homosexuality to perform their ceremony in their church?
If it were to marry a gay couple then yes. I have no problem with civil unions by JOP. All rights given, just don't try and make a church marry somebody. So is that church a fake Christian church?
Are you saying there are no gay Christians?
Again then...not about the label...about the rights. For me. It’s all between me and my wife and family. But I want the same rights as anyone else.....so do homosexuals.
So would/should a gay couple expect a Christian church that doesn't accept homosexuality to perform their ceremony in their church?
That's the wrong question. There may or may not be, that's not up to me to judge. I can tell you that there are no gay Christians that understand the Bible, and are proud of their sin enough to get married after they became Christian.
Has this happened? Genuinely asking. Is this a legit concern or just another Target bathroom pearl clutch?
I don't know that it has or hasn't. Just not sure why a label means so much.Has this happened? Genuinely asking. Is this a legit concern or just another Target bathroom pearl clutch?
Is there anything in the Bible that you find questionable?
Why would he find anything questionable...it's what he chooses to follow. If you're not going to follow the rules of the religion you proclaim to believe in, do you really believe? Is there anything in the Bible that you find questionable?
Christian cake bakers, Jersey church was found to have discriminated against a gay couple for not renting a beachfront gazebo, but that's it so far here.
Why don't gays try this stuff with Islam? I'd love to see them go into a Muslim's bakery and ask for a gay cake.
Why would he find anything questionable...it's what he chooses to follow. If you're not going to follow the rules of the religion you proclaim to believe in, do you really believe?
Replace “gay couple” with “minorities” in your examples and tell me what you think.
Have you eaten shellfish?
If so, then he has to deal with it. Maybe it isn't a choice...maybe he was born that way.I’m just wondering if there’s anything from it that he picks and chooses. I bet there is.
I think Democrats used the Bible out of context to meet their own needs.
Of course, just this week. I'll one up you. My associate pastor barbecues pork as a side business!
Hint: you don't know Christianity nor the Bible like you think you do.
So you think it’s ok to discriminate based on your personal beliefs and the federal government has to allow it?
