Why was Trump such a threat that they went cover zero to stop the run? If they wouldn’t have been successful, their nose was open, Bigly. What was he threatening that was so untenable to the Dems?

Did they see him as a Reaganesque type personality that would usher in a renewed wave of GOP supporters?
I think they saw him as a populist who showed that power could be taken from the government and given back to the people. Freedom is a threat to liberals
I believe he was taking the middle class from Democrat & they hated that. I also believe he honestly tried to fix problems & not just band aid them .
Trump can not be controlled.
This made "those losers"
scared of Trump. Regrettably, Trump also damaged both parties and seemingly "lost his mind", at the end.
Trump was on track to be one of the best ever, but ended as a typical "one term" president.
The Dems Coup, worked.
Ultimately it worked, as Trump fell into their traps.
The country didn't want a dictator.

He was neither Dem or Rep. He had no allegiance to either political party and not controllable to either party...
He threatened their Swamp Life and their mission to take power and control over The People.
He was a threat to the status quo. From a policy initiative, some of what he proposed was not too extreme, certainly more centric than Biden. It was his rhetoric that they couldn't stomach. They worried more about what he said, than what he did.

I don’t care what other people do, I’m asking for true feedback. What about him in your opinion made him such a threat in your mind? His policies weren’t extreme, despite the ******** rhetoric his policies didn’t reflect a single amount of racism, quite the opposite actually, I’m just trying to understand now that we’ve had some time to cool off. Can you honestly articulate what you found so unpalatable?
My theory is the Reagan-like cult of personality and they couldn’t control him because he wasn’t dependent on them. He didn’t need to make deals, he had the mob, and he was independently wealthy. Most of these guy who get into office are easily controlled either by the media, their careers, or policy.
