I have been married to my wife for 44 years and in our first year she actual gave me a list of things she wanted done. My response to her is if she wanted to make it to another year don't ever provide me one again. I have never seen one again.

I still do things for her but we have adult conversations about. Getting married doesn't mean you treat each like a child that needs a list. Men grow some dam balls and be men.

I have never had or been presented a honey-do list.... But I sure like hearing the stories... I have never approached the end of my own list...

What does backer cutter’s wife tell him when he has two black eyes?

-nothin, she already told him twice.

My late uncle had a way of handling his “honey do” list that his wife wrote on the chalkboard in their kitchen. Every couple of days he would erase one off the list regardless if he did it or not. I really miss his sense of humor.

If my girlfriends asks me to unload the dishwasher, I always say "yeah later". If she wants it done that moment she'll do it and just wanted the free labor, if she waits an hour or so I'll do it when I'm bored. Its not that hard, but she's also not my mom.

“Nothing, she already told him twice”- man, after nearly 38 years, you would think I’d learn. I’m a glutton for punishment.

I ask my wife every so often if there’s anything she wants me to do. Honey do or just being a good husband? I’ve found if I keep the wife happy she keeps me happy and leaves me alone.

Sidebar: One thing I can never get over, is how women think lawn care is a hobby, similar to their OCD-levels of cleaning.

No. I don't enjoy mowing the lawn in 100 degree weather, but I have to do it, or else there will more bugs, neighbors can complain, and we can get fined. It's still a chore. However, you needing to pick up the bath mat after every use, is something you LIKE to do.

I fully expect a surge in divorces after this pandemic is over. Couples haven't had to be around and deal with each other 24/7 (for those without essential jobs). Then take away sports that give guys an escape for a few hours here and there and it is a recipe for disaster.
