Should be a good game. I would expect a much different game plan from Virginia as compared to when they faced us. I believe they will try to run UNC off the 3-pt line. UNC has been playing quite well lately and will be playing on their home court. But Virginia is coming off a loss and recent history says they don't lose many conference games. Again, should be a good game, coin flip IMO.

Virginia is the better team and better coached. However, they're playing at UNC and we all know how the refs are when it comes to UNC. I say UNC wins by a small margin.
after watching the miami game, at least the last few mins. you are not playing 5 on 5 at Tarhole tech. Course Miami didn't guard either. I would not expect that from VA. Go Hoos

I love watching unc lose...like all of us... I’d love nothing more than an ole fashion butt whooping by the Hoos. I think they can do it if they make shots.

Also I’m looking forward to seeing how White handles good defense.

I think it will be a game till the end. I would prefer Virginia to slaughter them but my gut tells me it's going to be a fight. Hope I'm wrong.

I’m torn:

A UVA win is sweet because it’s beating UNC and both will have 2 losses

A UNC win gives us more breathing room in the standings with UVA because I don’t think UVA will lose again in the conference after the UNC game. With us having 2 opportunities at UNC, I’d rather UNC take care of UVA and we win the conference by beating UNC twice. Also, with a UNC win over UVA, we’d have a chance to lose 2 more times and own the tie breaker over UVA for the 1-seed in the ACC Tournament.

If we handle our business, we shouldn't lose more than a single game the rest of the regular season. Right now we have a game lead over UVA and obviously own the tiebreaker.

And they are playing UNC, never root for UNC, never.

I'm not getting analytical when it comes to UNC. I hope they fall down and chip a tooth whenever they're playing, theoretically speaking, of course.

Virginia is better than UNC. But UNC is at home and they're pretty good too. As someone else said, I'm pretty sure UVA is going to try and run them off the 3-point line all night. If they're successful, then I see the Hoos leaving Chapel Hill with a victory....by maybe six to eight points.

UVA has had a lot of trouble with Duke over the last few years, prior to this one. We had a much better percentage vs them than the rest of the acc. That is because UVA's D is geared to restrict the area around the rim. The further from the rim you get, the more room there is to operate. For a long time, Duke, with its plethora of shooters, hit enough open 3s to win a game. Traditionally, UNC, with its reliance on low post scoring, coupled with a few (but pretty good) three point shooters, had more trouble with UVA.
.
UVA's D allows for open 3s. They typically ID 1-2 shooters who they track more closely (Grayson Allen, Cam Reddish, Luke Kennard) to limit their good looks, but at the cost of allowing pretty wide open looks for the rest of their opponents roster. UVA basically dares the secondary shooters for their opponent to beat them. This is a good gamble, as the 2nd and lower shooters for most college teams can't win games.
.
UNC has 3 plus 3pt shooters on the court at all times this year. With no real options in the post. I think UNC will score pretty easily vs UVA. That said, UVA has a better O than they've had under Bennett, and UNC's D is nowhere near as good as Duke's D. This should be a good one.
.
I think UNC wins this game. UVA' was pretty disheartened on Saturday night. They executed their game plan perfectly, and still lost a game which really wasn't as close as the final score indicated. That is the sort of thing that can stay with a team for a while. UNC won a game where they didn't play well, giving Roy plenty of material to use on them.

UVA's offense is incredibly efficient. They should be able to give UNC's defense or lack thereof considerable fits. I think it really comes down to 3-pt shooing for UNC. If they get their looks and bury them, UNC comes out on top. If Virginia's defense can force UNC inside the arc and at least prevent open lay-ups, I think Virginia comes out on top. UNC offense, specifically 3 pt shooting vs. Virginia's defensive game plan is the match-up I would focus on most in this game.

I don't see us losing more than 1 the rest of regular season. If UVA wins out and we take care of business then we'll still win the ACC regardless of the outcome of this game. Plus, it's UNC, under no circumstances will I ever pull for them, not even against UK.

I’m not pulling for them, but strategically, a win wouldn’t be a bad thing for Duke, especially since UVA will prolly go undefeated the rest of the way (after the UNC game).

As has been stated already, UVA is the better team and should win on paper. I just have a bad feeling about it though. UNx is playing their best ball of the season (Miami game bot withstanding) and if they were gonna lose, it would have been to Miami. We’ll see how it goes, I am obviously rooting for Virginia.

UNC has destroyed some good teams this year, but they've had a few head-scratchers also. They are now who their fans (THR) pretended to hate most...a 3 point shooting team. So all those times I've heard; live by the 3, die by the 3...yep...that's them.
I hope they die.
If Virginia can shake off the mental hangover of the Duke loss, (especially with such a short turnaround) I think they'll win a very close game.

I don’t anticipate a hangover. I think a staple of Virginia’s program is their consistency. True they don’t have to deal with defeat often, but I see them as being mentally tough and capable of turning the page quickly. They have been well prepared for us twice, we just executed better. The talent gap allowed that to be possible. But I expect them to be well prepared again tonight.

We all know that Ole Roy will outcoach a whippersnapper like Bennett, especially with Roy's deft use of timeouts at game's end. So I am not even going to watch;).

Duke will be by themselves in the ACC race if Virginia wins tonight. Don't know when the last time we could say that in February was. I think it is the most important game for Duke that doesn't invole them this year. Go Hoos!

I am not overthinking this one, UVA is a better team and coming off a loss. I think they take control of the game midway through the first half and maintain control the rest of the way. UNC is not disciplined enough on D this year to control how efficient UVA is on offense.
