Hope Jeff Brohm was watching the hoops win.

I think it’s because he wasn’t a big Pitino guy. Here’s hoping we continue to get better treatment from the announcers. We were villains for a while.

CC I think you hit the nail on the head. I don’t think a lot of the national media types liked Pitino. I don’t think it was as much dislike of UofL.

You are correct football is a different animal. What you also know is the right coach at the right time can speed up the rebuild. The most under appreciated factor in a school athletic success is the fanbase buying into the coaching staff. When that occurs that speeds up the process. On the other hand I know when a coach is in trouble just look into the stands. It always coincides with team performance. I knew Petrino was in trouble last year when the stadium was half full with a Heisman winner who happened to be the most electric player in college football. The fans lost faith in Petrino last year not this this. This year on confirmed their opinion especially after the FSU game.

Brohm would have instant fan support and trust, while it is a rebuild on defense it could happen fairly quickly like it did at Purdue.

I have no idea what Brohm will do, but I do know if he stays at Purdue Louisville's next coach isn't going to have that instant fan buy in. That isn't unusual for a new coach coming into a new program, but the Brohm miss would complicated things.

Ehh, glass half empty here. Taking a long time to decide.

I imagine the first step will be a Purdue team meeting so he can tell them his decision. Then he will tell Vince. Then he will tell MBob.

Michigan state is not that good at basketball. In fact, it was downright depressing watching Cassius Winston on the sidelines last night after he fouled out. They get the good players but are not mentally tough at all.
