We've had a good season now, let's see if we can make it a great season by winning one more game or a magical season by winning two more!

Really expect the Team to play better against Michigan State but not sure if that will translate into a victory against a very good Big 10 team. Sweet 16 is something special and congrats to Kruger and the Team.

And you need to deal with the fact that its a ***** move to start a thread just to be negative when your comment belonged in the game thread.

We don't need a new thread for every half assed remark that crosses your mind.

It sounds like you are doing exactly what yo just accused me of.. moderating the board. Keep that ego in check and put the liquor down or at least don't post when you drink!

Haven't cracked a beer in probably 3 weeks. But that's Spankee's go to. That and thinking playing video games is some sort of insult.

I ought to copy and paste your stupid emails you send me, and while I'm at it I could expose you and barking's little secret.

little secret? haha. By all means post anything you want to bcssooner. While you are at it, please be assured that releasing any personal info and/or emails is strictly forbidden and could result in a nasty ban. I suggest you rethink your suggestion. You logged on this board tonight with an axe to grind with posters, i think thats obvious. Please dont tell people how to post and others should show you the same respect. Good night friend.

Just put him on ignore bro. It works wonders. I have 2 people on my ignore list, and from time to time others will quote their posts in a reply. I will read a snippet of their post and it always reminds me why I have them blocked because it's never anything worth reading.

Pryor, there are some who preach the use of the "ignore" button. They like to rave and rave about not posting negative comments about others posts. The ones who normally exhibit this kind of behavior usually have the thinnest of skin. Everyone knows what has gone on here and what is going on so just roll with the punches and laugh about it. If you really read the reply it was nonsensical and was just bait and only there to get a rise out of you.

You should be embarrassed for taking the bait

Are you truly, that thin skinned? In other news Sooner fans OU is in the Sweet 16. Some of you are full of drama, or at least it sure seems that way.

Really? How so exactly? Why do you and other always and I mean always look for the worst? Serious question. And what are you doing right now? Your baiting me into this pointless conversation. And one poster in this thread is just about to get a long time out from this board.

Yeah, some just can't help them selves. They love taking shots, make no sense to me. Pryor if I have offended you in anyway my apologies. I do however disagree with the constant negativity about OU Basketball. Not hardly one thread about this BB team all year. They get in the tourney, and are playing a game for a sweet 16 appearance and all some want to do is gripe about the play. And pretty much tossed In the towel when OU went down 6. And yes I'm allowed to post too fellows. Then the same posters come to take shots because I'm a mod. As soon as me and Medic have discussion one in this thread is going to see time out.

yes mike you are allowed to post, however if we are expected to follow the rules on not attacking others posting style then mods should as well. Im not saying you are to take all the blame, however you did kind of go after a poster on this topic. As for not posting during the season very much, what does that have to do with posting in the tourney? There are very few softball posts as well, does that mean we shouldnt make topics if they get to the world series? No poster is ever gonna post 100% positive things EVERY day and he/she shouldnt be ridiculed if they post something or threatened with a long ban. Cant we all just get along? please, lets get along. We got the spring get together coming up dont we? lol

First off Pryor fan is not in no way in danger of a ban. Not even close. If you think that your not looking closely. And second I never threatened a ban because some disagreed with myself or medic. I sure hope that clears things up for you. Again this conversation is pointless, and needs to be dropped.

This conversation is almost pointless. I read Pryor's first reply; "Really expect the Team to play better against Michigan
State but not sure if that will translate into a victory against a very
good Big 10 team. Sweet 16 is something special and congrats to Kruger
and the Team" and thought it mirrored my thoughts on the game and OU's chances to win. I saw it as a a good and accurate post.

Not sure I "expect" OU to play better against Michigan State, but I do think we have to play a more consistent game to come out on top. We can't have the 7 to 9 minutes in the game where we seem to go to sleep and expect to win as Michigan State is a very good team, not great, but a good team. Also Izzo is a very good coach ... as is Kruger.

Mike, when I read your post I simply couldn't understand what you were trying to say and/or what point you were trying to make. To me it represented what I think is wrong here. I don't sit on this board day and night as I just don't have the free time for that. I will usually check in for a few minutes here and there. I took your reply to Pryor as a very snide remark and thought it was demeaning and done so intentional. I don't have the history of all the threads that are posted here as I don't live on this board. It just seemed to me to be way out of place as I sure didn't take Pryor's response as a negative on the OU BB team or the coaches. It just struck me as a good post with a logical point of view. When I read your reply I took it as just a nasty and snide remark and done for some spite type of reason.

This is just my opinion ok?

I just think there is way to much emphasis on whether some think a post is negative or positive. It seems to me there are some who just can't handle any thought that isn't some rah, rah deal. Some just can't handle that some don't feel the need to be rah, rah all the time. The board needs some balance. And, people ought to e free to post their real opinion without being harassed because of their thoughts.

I am sure there are some here who are posers and who just like to jab at OU fans. When those are identified they need to be showed the door. I think they are easy to spot and therefore should be dealt with. However, I also think that the real OU fans are easy to identify. And, all the real OU fans who post here ought to be free to express their thoughts/opinions without the retribution and or having the snide remarks thrown to them.

The reason that most of us no longer post here is because every single thread gets highjacked, just as this one has.

Yeah well, the first and foremost casualty of these forums is the marked inability for everyone to stay on point.

It's an ego thing, in that most if not all people are of the predisposition that if they have a thought, then by virtue of that alone it's worthy of hacking it out on the keyboard.

I'm as guilty of that as anyone.

The glaring difference is I'll own it and admit to doing it.

(as an afterthought, this very post proves the theory..:)

It continues to Amaze me that a simple, innocent comment, can be turned into fodder for the grist mill...I see this sort of behavior as being the Ultimate 'Deal Breaker' on what was, once upon a time, a FUN Board...

There is No Joy in Muddville, The Fat Lady is clearing her throat...(No need to point out that is mixed metaphors, fitty...I know)

Roy, great post. I was excited the Sooners made the Sweet 16 nothing more, the only thing that could have made it bad is that Pryor had just started a thread dropping bombs on the Sooners. Simply put I disagreed with him, and at the same time excited for Lon and company. I agree that we should have mixed opinions on this board, and if you post your going to get a reply, whats wrong with a poster/posters just say wow I wiffed on that one? And move on, especially grown men. Instead the ego thing comes in.

Then the he did it first like my 12 year old would say. You have some that no matter What they post, and how nice the response is they're going to sling a little mud back. This has got to stop. And by all means agree to disagree, this message board thing is really not that hard.

And for the love of sweet baby Jesus don't be thinking skinned.

Hmmmm. Interesting comment considering that one poster creates an original post and the other poster retorts, and then when the push back occurs, we're told we need shouldn't be thin skinned by the poster doing the retorting.
