Hot Seats

I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of "hot seat" coaches. Coming into this season, perhaps Hubert Davis was looking at it as well, but I think he'll be fine and by that I mean, he'll keep the seat lukewarm. I wonder if a few others in the ACC will be or are on the hot seat like the Syracuse coach and unfortunately Capel.
Yeah just read Syracuse lost to Hofstra at home to go to 6-4. Unless they make the tournament Autry is gone. Capel, probably, thought he was this elite recruiter but it's harder when you're not recruiting for Duke. UNC is much better so Davis is safe for now. They look sweet sixteenish. Pope beat Indiana but they have St. John's and Alabama next. They need to get a split.

I think Pope is fine . They just got Lowe back and are still with out the ASU big transfer. Capel I think is done unless Pitt just don’t want to buy him out . Doesn’t he still have three years on his extension ?
Agreed. He is exhibit A how killing it in the portal does not always work. Losing Aday Mara to Michigan was a big blow they do not have a good 5. Booker is ok.
Mark Mitchell had the go ahead bucket in securing the road win for Mizzou at Kentucky the other night. You Love to see it!!!
I remember those scrimmages where Mitchell repeatedly got to the rim with ease. He looked like Ron Artest. Still not a great shooter but he's having a nice year.
NIL has leveled the playing field. Lots of kids are no longer going to a school just because it’s a traditional power or has a great coach. Virtually anybody can do what IU has done in football (not to denigrate Cignetti, because I think he is a great coach), because their money is as green as the next guy’s. Kansas is finding that out.

Think Ed Cooley is definitely in the hot seat. His 3 years at Georgetown his record is as follows..

Doesn’t seem like anyone can win at Georgetown in recent history. Cooley was very good at providence
I don’t think he’s on the hot seat after all he’s accomplished at Northwestern but Collins may be….
Yeah UCLA has been a dying program for a long time. Essentially dinosaurs of college basketball and haven’t been relevant in decades

I don't see how Autry keeps his job. They should try to lure Mike Hopkins there, although he has a cushy NBA job right now.
While I agree he's not been great, but he does have 3 seasons with over 21 wins and a season with 19 wins. I can't imagine that Winston Salem is a hotbed for NIL.
