Score is a little deceiving. Not a bad game to watch.....UC was up 16-12 early in the 4th quarter.

Score was 26-16...Houston intrecepts two passes and returns then fire tds
True for the final 6 min of the game, but UC did have an early 4th qtr lead (16-12 w/a failed 2 pt conversion). Better than I expected out of the bearcats..

Really lked the renovated Nippert, may have to go catch a game up there.

Also, Houston dropped a sure TD interception earlier in the game, fumbled at the UC 20 late in the first half, giving UC a FG, and then threw an interception in the endzone in the 4th quarter which would have put the game away. So all in all, the final score was sort of indicative of how the game actually went.

The atmosphere was electric - very nice crowd. Too bad Commonwealth doesn't get rowdy like that. Anyway, a good game and Houston is tough. Their QB made a few bad mistakes or they could have put Cincy away much earlier.

What does "Commonwealth" have to get rowdy about.

Cincinnati's defense played their tails off. Holding that team to 12 points in the fourth quarter after they had had a short field all night was impressive. Wish they could've pulled it off but it just fell apart.

Wish we could see similar fight from the UK defense. I know depth is an issue but that's no excuse for lining up/tackling right and being in position to make a play.

Keep in mind the Houston QB was hurt and sat out the game last week. He started this week but had trouble all night passing. Cincinnati was able to key in on Houston's running game.

This.

Houston still had 28 first downs to Cincy's 13, and had 200 more total yards. And won the time of possession by 16 minutes. Just a few costly mistakes or that one is ugly the whole way.
