How’d they look?!

Not great, but outstanding effort, defense and rebounding. Offense is still a work in progress to say the least. You wouldn’t have been embarrassed as a Kentucky fan.

If we are being honest, we sucked for most of the game. But, they fought hard and they looked like they wanted this game. Some positive steps for sure.
Sucked for 30 minutes. Played like a UK BB team for 10 and WON.
They looked rough like normal and then came to life in the 2nd half and still looked rough but controlled the boards and went 8 down to win by double digits. Happy with the effort. Mo was on fire the 2nd half and got a hard earned double double.
Offense still has a long way to go. The shooting was still pretty nonexistent and we mostly got by on offensive rebounds against an Indiana team with no inside presence. That being said, the defense and overall effort level were much better than they’ve been in games that matter so far this year. Maybe that can be something to build an identity around since we’ve been struggling to find one.

The biggest thing you can take away from a game like this was the fight and effort was there. Could have rolled over but fought back to comeback on IU. Mo D a beast in his return. Hopefully the Cats build on this and string together some W's as they get healthy.
Two different teams. Bad first half. Simply wanted in more in the second. I can really appreciate that win. Idc about the ones saying Indiana isn’t a good team. We beat that *** and sent Wilkerson back home with a fat L.
I'm somewhat optimistic after tonight.
Indiana is a tournament team. We beat them comfortably the entire 2nd half.
We certainly did it with defense. I think the pieces are there for the defense to be elite. We just had to give effort and be smart. And tonight we finally saw both.
I'm hopeful that we can be really good defensively. Last year's team wasn't physically capable of it.
I think the offense is easier to improve than the defense. The shooting will never be elite, but it will probably end up better than we've seen so far. And I think Pope can figure out some sets that can work for this group. I think he's just had to figure out what the group actually is. And I think he finally started to cut down the size of said group tonight.
Defensive intensity. Offensive limitations. Confident hustle play out of Lowe and Mo made a big difference.
Everything can change on offense once we see a few deep ones fall in a big game. Until then, just like you said, hang your hat on the defense and rebounding. We are going to have more low points in my opinion, but we are growing.
I said they aren’t a good win but that shouldn’t minimize I did enjoy tonight’s game. Everyone was putting in effort. Great 2nd half.
Most the game? The entire second half we looked the best we have all year against a team with an actual pulse.
They played their guts out. Very impressed with that effort watching it live. Really it was what they had to do to win and probably the only way they can win most nights going forward - at least for the foreseeable future. This UK team is not made up of good offensive players. In my opinion, Pope can run whatever offense or sets he can devise and UK could bring in Hurley or any other coach and it won't change the fact that this is a team of very average offensive players in the high major Div. I setting. But if they play really hard, intently and with a high level of energy defending and rebounding they'll have a chance to win most nights. It might be difficult to maintain that kind of effort every game, but I think they have to in order to finish in the top half of the SEC.
